I don’t think you are using the switch rig correctly. It’s originally known as the cheburashka or “cheb” rig because it resembles a Russian cartoon character’s silhouette. It’s meant so you can easily switch hooks and weights and it’s a hook that can move around more than a jig head so it adds action.

involves a special rig setup using a “Cheburashka jig” or “Cheburashka weight.” This style of fishing originated in Eastern Europe and is particularly popular for targeting predatory fish like perch, zander, and pike. The setup features a small, round or oval weight with a detachable wire clip or loop that allows you to connect a hook (with a soft plastic bait or other lure) to it. Here’s how it works: Key Features: 1. Cheburashka Weight: The weight itself is separate from the hook, giving the lure more natural movement. The weight resembles a small ball, similar to a round jig head but with more flexibility. 2. Wire Clip/Loop: The weight has a built-in wire clip or loop that allows you to attach or detach the hook, making it easy to change baits or adjust your setup. 3. Freedom of Movement: Because the weight is separate from the hook, the lure can move more freely in the water, resulting in a more natural presentation. This helps mimic injured prey, which is attractive to predatory fish.

The way I had it did all you are saying. What am I missing? The weight can slide to change the hook. The hook is free swinging. That’s what I did 🤷♂️

What size line are you using for the 2.75 Nage?
@aaanglers4 ай бұрын
Varivas x8

Just bought 4 micro Nage in several colors. Are you using a flouro leader or braid directly to the bait? I'm new(er) to BFS and still working through the line setup options for my setups.
@aaanglers3 ай бұрын
@brandonscordino1080 we use leader. 10 lb braid (we like varivas x8) to 6 lb fluoro does great

Hey guys: Just curious as to why the fishing world has become obsessed with finesse/micro baits in recent years? Is it just because of all the fishing pressure that most lakes are getting now and downsizing is just the way to go? That said will all the baits that are labeled/designed for crappie be just as effective for bass? Thanks…🎣🤔😎🐝

Fun, Fun and Fun! Yes, works in pressured situations too. And yes, crappie baits CAN catch bass. But micro bass lures are better
