Great reaction as always, Lee! I love these guys from Japan, proving that old dudes like me can still rock, haha! From your friend in Chicago, you can always count on me to find new interesting things for you, mate! :) Ningen Isu ("nin-jen ee-sue") means "The Human Chair", which is the name of a weird short story written in 1925. Their main influence is Black Sabbath, with some additional influence from Kiss and Led Zeppelin. You got the point of the lyrics right. :) In an interview, the singer and guitar player said that the idea is that he starts out asking for favors from deities since his life has been a failure, but by the end of the song he realizes that he should be praying for all creatures to find blessings and happiness, and not to only worry about himself.

I imagine he _is_ quite happy...now. But he knows what it's like to be unhappy, and he sings on behalf of unhappy people who don't know how.

This band, I swear. Every time I hear them, their music just have so much of this raw energy and emotion with them. You can even see it in their music video. They perform with such passion and heart, for years and years as well! Their lyrical writing, too, isn't falling behind from their music. Simply fascinating. Your attention to their lyrics as well was great! Very spot on. Just a wild recommendation at the end, if you like the sort of songs or music with some heavy lyrics in them. You might want to listen to another Japanese song titled [ Hated by Life Itself ] sung by Mafumafu and originally written by Kanzaki Iori. I believe there's an English version of that, too, sang by Oktavia. Love your reaction a lot. Keep at it, my man!

This is a very deep and satisfying rabbit hole to explore. Over 30 years and 22-23 albums out leaves a lot of songs to explore. Their live stuff is amazing too. This is not as up tempo but damn... [Edit: Wrong Link Oops! This is a mind-blowing live performance with the Bassist doing most of the singing.] kzbin.info/www/bejne/epi3dn6ljs10jsk

WAS WONDERFUL TO SEE HOW FAST YOU CAUGHT ON TO EVERY ASPECT INSTANTLY. I GREW UP READING SUBTITLES ON FOREIGN MOVIES SO IT IS NATURAL FOR ME. IT SEEMED EFFORTLESS FOR YOU. JAPANESE IN PARTICULAR ENJOY PUNS, REFERENCES AND ALL WORDPLAY; SO COMMENTS FROM FANS RAISED IN JAPAN CAN BE VERY HELPFUL. THE GUITARIST IS DRESSED AS A LITERARY SCHOLAR I THINK. THEIR LYRICS CAN REFLECT DEEP DARK LITURATURE? THEY COULD HAVE BEEN TWICE AS RICH AND FAMOUSE HAD THEY NOT DONE METAL. METAL WAS SHUNNED AND FROWNED UPON BY JAPANESE ESTABLISHMENT FOR OVER 4 DECADES. THE JMETAL PIONEERS PERSISTED EVER SINCE THE GREAT WESTERN BANDS TOURED THERE.

All three of them are the same age, on their way to 60. It is just that the guitar guy looks older.

They put the power in power trio⚡️ If Black Sabbath we’re from Japan…. I think the Shaba daba dia part is the answer to his prayers. In his opinion utter nonsense answers from a series of heartless scats.
@mikeg.42113 жыл бұрын
Yes; they've mentioned that their biggest influence was Black Sabbath. Good call! :)

Heartless Scat = Heartless "shit" scat 1)abbreviation of scatophagy, meaning the consumption of excrement. 2) Defecation or feces. 3) Substitute for the word shit 1) Don't do that scat here. 2) I need to take a scat.

@@infin8reactions Very good response. LHO's posted on a few reactors. You understood _Shabadabadia Shabadabadia Babababa_ sung as a melody _is exactly_ Scat Singing. From the lyrics, the singer is putting up with a 'lot of sh*t'. So it is a pun, but nobody *literally* means 'sh*t'. Yes, he seems more interested in poo 💩 than music or metaphor.

The song is about his life going bad. And he think he is worth more. And he asks the divine spirits if they cannot change that. BRW - asian cultures are very materialistic - he don't just want to feel happy - he want THINGS!
