As you can see things have gotten a bit unorganized and jumbled up in our pantry so in this video we are going to be replacing the UGLY wire shelves, Refilling and restocking pantry snacks and creating a KIDS SNACK SHELF. We are also going to clean up and fix up the grocery store in my house (our SECRET emergency food storage)

Those dispensers for cereal are neat, but I just have 2 big containers for cereal. And it's on top of the fridge, so I can grab them and put cereal in a bowl. It looks good after reorganizing.

My household has a prepper area for food storage. We live in a hurricane area, so we buy a little extra each time we go to the store.

I came across your channel about a week ago.. and I have just loved all the videos.. I have learned a lot with packing hacks.. I love to pack light.. because it makes it easier when traveling.. we also do long haul road trips.. (from north Dallas to Orlando.. we spend the night on the road) I have already gotten the travel hampers for our shoes and laundry.. and I will get the Dollar Tree laundry detergent to bring with us.. Even though we are staying in an Airbnb I still want to wash laundry to keep the packing load to a minimal (since we bring a cooler for our drinks and a bag for snacks..and we bring our own pillows) I love how you let your kids pack their own road trip snack boxes. That way they aren't fighting on whom got what.. and packing their own back pack.. I also got us drink mixes to bring to Disney with us.. You're very creative and have great ideas on a smaller budget.. We also homeschool and looking into going on the road to travel in a RV soon (probably next spring) and you have given me a lot of ideas on smaller storage for the supplies.. I love your home in Florida.. but could you please do a updated kitchen tour and house tour? I would love to see how you redid the oak cabinets.. I hope someday I can finally get complete decluttered and organized.. Thank you for taking all this time to make and share your videos.. Your children are precious and great helpers, too ;)

I’m obviously not the content creator 😅, but I am in a similar situation as you (I’m currently in Uni) Channels like this one is a good starting point for inspiration (mostly because they don’t add a bunch of extra unnecessary ingredients for the looks, like a lot of recipes targeted at our age group tend to be. ) I would suggest not stressing too much about nutrition when starting out, and rather focus on getting pantry basics. Bulk items are great if it’s shelf stable, and you have the room for it. (Learn from my mistake, I bought a lot of family packs of fridge foods, like boiled ham, and not only did I barely have fridge space, most of it went bad cause I wasn’t able to eat it in time 😭) Everything depends on your access to different things like freezer, oven, microwave and fridge. If you have access to a freezer I would suggest looking into channels that make bulk freezer meals. As if you make things in bulk you save money, and having food you only need to reheat means it’s less tempting to order out when you don’t feel like cooking. I personally even keep my bread in the freezer, and it works great for me as I either take it up a couple of hours before I need it, or heat it in a pan for toast. Eggs also keep a lot longer than the box say, so if that’s something you eat don’t throw it out after the best by date! Import groceries then to be cheaper when it comes to certain stuff like fresh veggies in my experience, though it might be different where you live. Again if you have access to freezer space, frozen veggies are healthy, and under appreciated. It’s easy to chuck some veggies into stuff you are making if you have it available, so I tend to have frozen peas, corn and carrot on hand always. Though what you keep on hand needs to suit your taste, as If you buy stuff just cause it’s healthy you might end up not eating it cause you don’t like it, which isn’t preferable. Hope your classes go great this semester!

Why is it that in the comments of every one of these awesome pantry makeovers there has to be Karens critiquing their food choices?!? It’s so annoying! They’re videos on “how to organize your pantry” not “this is how your should be feeding your kids”. If people wanna feed their kids all organic non-gmo homegrown everything then fine but if someone wants to feed their kids cereal (or Doritos or whatever), who cares?!? Do you people talk like that when you go visit people’s homes? These lovely ladies doing these videos are graciously inviting the world into their home essentially and helping those of us who are organizationally challenged how to better use our space to be less stress and make it pretty.
