@Draconic Duelist you are right, I have worded it badly, Maybe polarising was the wrong phrase, My mom wanted to understand a d support me, and called me to check up on me (she passed away last year so she can't anymore), My dad, ignores any information I give him about myself that doesn't fit his "ideal daughter" mold, which is all of it, tbh.. :/

Hi, Ex s8tnist Here. Yeah heard me right, you can thank my ever so loving parents for that. I’m in highschool. My parent’s (more specifically my mother) has claimed puberty isn’t real. She said I was pregnant when I hit puberty at 14 and tried to put me up for adoption. Becuase I had boobs. My period apparently isn’t real and it’s just “the devil taking over my body”. My dad is considering divorce and getting a dog. I wish he could do that faster.

Whay do you mean? They're underage and need a parent or guardian to take them to the hospital because they feel extremely sick. The father instead decided to ridicule and tease them for feeling that way just because they don't have a fever. They'll had to drive themselves 4 hours when feeling physically ill which could have ended terribly if they were to get sick or pass out while driving! Not to mention the fathers girlfriend who is in no way related to or has the right to control the person tells them they're not important enough to cancel the plans they have with the childs BIRTH parent. The father chose his girlfriend over his CHILD who was sick and in need of a hospital! In no way was the father in the right. I would seriously like to know why you believe so.

Well not to say I don't agree with this video, but in the end their your parents, your mother had to go through pregnancy, you father had to work hard to keep you and your mother safe and well fed, they both had to raise money to get you into school, I know some are unlucky to have strict or hating parents, some have no father, some have no mother, hell some don't even have parents, so if they treat you harshly just go with it if you can't do what they ask then just tell them like I do (I get hit anyways so it doesn't matter), I hope you found this post useful. thank you

i understand what you are saying but ignoring the problem with your parents isnt going to make things better and i understand you should emphasize with them too but you also have to talk to the and tell them what you feel so things can change (hopefully) for the better

It should only be used as a last resort. Kids can take constructive criticism and change what they did wrong. If not, ground them from whatever they like to do in their free time. If they still haven't changed, then and only then is it acceptable.

you... DO realize that spanking toddlers is not only hurtful to the kid, but completely useless because the kid's too young to understand why you're hitting them, right? And you DO realize that, if the kid is old enough to understand the reason, then the more effective tactic is to talk to them about what they did wrong, so they actually LEARN from their mistake and grow as a person, right? And you DO realize that spanking kids IN GENERAL teaches them that hitting is an okay thing to do, right? There's a reason good parents don't use spanking as a punishment anymore.
