Infections can and do happen, but as someone who nearly died from sepsis and had an amputation due to a bone infection, my doctors know to do absolutely everything possible to decrease my chance of getting an infection and dying. I received plastic surgery because I lost a lot of weight and had to get rid of the extra skin. I also did my chest and that was half because the weight loss destroyed it, and half because I’ve always wanted it done. I’m so happy with my surgeries. But I went to a surgeon that won many awards, great reviews, did lots of research, and make the right choice. Plastic surgery is great if done for the right reasons, but you have to do your research, know the potential risks (and weigh if you feel they’re worth it), make an educated choice- and don’t go to a surgeon with a tiktok.

I mean removing excess skin isn't nearly as dangerous as many other surgeries. The biggest risk besides the physical aspect of being cut open is mental; once you start- and usually you would start with something not intensive like filler- you get addicted to "sculpting" yourself like an avatar. Here's an important piece that you may be missing oompa: Notice all these post-op pics are only a few days after surgery. Their faces are incredibly swollen, which is typical and caused that stretched out look. Full recovery after this type of surgery takes more than 6 months. Other practices take after pics after the patient has fully recovered, so the swelling has gone down and they look more "normal".

I think people forget that faces are an area on the body that typically swell IMMENSELY after any form of light trauma, let alone getting your face sheared off and reattached higher into your hairline. There's for sure gonna be a ton of swelling, bruising, and some people may even experience a change in their skin texture due to blood pooling. The mistake is on the surgeon for claiming these are end "results", unless the intention was shock value and clicks.

Matt without a doubt has had cosmetic surgery. You can tell without seeing a previous photo of him, there's something aesthetic about those surgeries that simply aren't natural to the human face, and when you've seen and studied faces enough (I'm an artist, not a psychopath) you can start to spot them almost instinctively

For example in men, theres a thing called "hunter eyes" where their eyelids arent as apparent as with other people. Same thing with girls having "button noses". The ear lobes pointing outwards is most likely due to the extreme face lifts -- face lifts are (from my knowledge, I'm not a professional or anything) achieved by takingaway skin around the ear/forhead/chin area and pulling the remaining skins' edge back, then closing up the wounds and allowing the skins to heal so the skin on your face becomes tighter. the extreme skin pulling causes these people to look like uncanny valley characters and sewing the skins back causing scrunching up around the ear area and the ear lobes to point outwards.

It’s really suspicious how the only way to contact Dr Kim from his TikTok is the link in their bio. You don’t really get to see any proper credentials from him or if he’s even licensed. These people most likely had seen before and after photos of this doctor’s work before their surgery, and chose him specifically for his dramatic surgeries. Their faces will relax quite a bit once their faces have had time to fully heal. But with this said, I do agree that it is too much IMO. Hopefully the patients are happy with the results because at the end of the day, that is all that matters.

there is a limit to these things that people keep passing. like, if you had broken your nose and decided you wanted to fix the shape, that’s understandable. breast reductions are understandable as well. they can be extremely heavy, to the point where they are causing physical issues such as severe back pain. but people who look fine who decide to inject their faces with all of these chemicals, or completely rework their faces, that’s just wild to me.

yeah had an aunt who needed a breast reduction bec she was unironically 5"4' and had TRIPLE Ds. she maybe weighed 150 soaking wet and i think most of that weight was her bewbs bec she was thin. She was in junior high when i was like 5 so i saw her suffering first hand. Shes doing a lot better now

Are you in the US? I guess bra sizes must work differently there because nothing D is particularly large here in the U.K. I had a friend in school who was on the waitlist for a reduction, when we were 15 she was already wearing an H cup.

@@trala8911 I would assume they are American, I'm American and the numbers they are saying are not really that big a deal. Granted DDD is I believe an F in the UK, but DDD isn't really that huge. Some people choose to, but there's nothing extreme about being 5'4" and DDD (especially if you're 150 which is over weight for 5'4")... so....

I love the way i look and never plan to get plastic surgery. The only surgeries ive had were inner ear surgeries to replace a bone in my ear to help improve my hearing. The second one was actually successful btw!

All of these results are one week after surgery, when swelling is at it's worst. It takes up to a year for the face to fully settle after a facelift. These faces actually do look like every other facelift after so little time, in a couple of months they will look much more normal. It's weird that this is what they're advertising because it is shocking but it's part of the process of a facelift so don't worry about these people, they'll look much better in no time.

THAT POOR MAN 😭 someone else commented about the “this man” hoax - if you ever saw it, that is sadly what that guy reminds me of. Anyway, if people want something, and they’re willing to pay for it… they’ll find someone to do it. No matter how bad of an idea it is. Edit: I wonder how they look MANY days later or whatever (not just one week or one month post surgery). I sure hope after some time it looks better 😳

The biggest red flag for me is the amount of makeup they have on in the videos. The whole procedure produces nightmare fuel most of the time, but the makeup (or filter) they add for the "after" shot is just bizarre. Makes me think that they can't do their job even poorly, so they hide their errors with makeup and filters.

Beyond purely aesthetic surgery plastic surgeons are super important. After catastrophic injury, or surgery where something has to be removed, or even maybe for gender affirming care-plastic surgeons do vital work.

The issue with the first doctor is from being in Korea where there is a big emphasis on surgery to make people look “white” or western with the larger eyes and other features. But yeah they wind up looking like haunted anime dolls.
