I just ordered 4 of these for my future solar setup. I got them for 1570 delivered from the eco worthy ebay store. I'm looking forward to being self sufficient as I live in western north carolina and the power was down for almost 3 weeks and has been going off regularly for hours as they are still repairing the damage from the hurricane. I don't want to be reliant on the grid anymore. Solar will pay for itself anyways. Thank you for sharing!

I hope everything's working out for you. I see it's been 3 weeks since your comment. Has anything improved? Be safe
@Ben-ry1pyАй бұрын
@@YouLookinAtMe-Bro Yes, they have improved. Power from the grid has been kinda spotty, but mostly on. It has inspired me to keep refining my independent power sources. I have more batteries and more chargers, and a wood stove. The power went out for a few hours the other night and I was able to cook, because I use propane. I was able to heat my place with my wood stove, and I was able to play a video game with my lifepo4 batteries and inverter. It was fun. I haven't gotten solar up yet, but that is at the top of the list. Thanks for asking.

The likelihood of getting a retail unit with the level of capacity your unit has is highly unlikely. The sad part is usually companies like to send out “golden samples” to reviewers to make products seem better than they are because they know your going to test the capacity. I’ve read quite a few reviews saying their units of this battery tested quite a bit lower than advertised, and then they had to arm wrestle with eco worthy to get it replaced. Let’s hope that’s not the case most of the time but I’m always Leary when reviews say “the company sent this too me for free”
@AdventureGearTV4 ай бұрын
Interesting theory. Mine was drop shipped from Amazon, so not sure if it was hand selected with a higher capacity. Have you seen any videos that show a significantly lower capacity test?

Thanks for the interesting video, but as the company them selves sent you the battery i would not trust the capacity test as they may have used slightly higher capacity cells. I have see this happening before. I would tend to trust products that people got them selves and not paid or donated products. I have these batteries myself for home use and are working great so far. Thank you again.

Nice video. I bought a few of these during their last ebay sale. Have a couple projects for these. For the price it couldn't be beat at the time. So expectations probably should be in line. Non of myn charged to the same voltage so connecting in seried for 48v i may lose some capacity

There are maybe some serious short comings with this battery, but despite all that, connected to a charge controler with temp protection and. My main issue I'd ballance seems to be off so over time it could get worse, but at best it means a lower capacity.... I messaged seller, eco worthy and no reply. So I think only thing to do is to try to notify possible buyers of the imbalance issue. Still might not be a bad deal, but also bough vater batter at slightly higher... maybe less than $.01 per watt balancing ses much better, also case, breaker, screen and so on.... these batteries are maybe totally different use wise, but for little more so far I see the vater server rack is much better... this is of course 48 vs 12v systems so ecowise is entry for people like me who are thinking home systems and so on... I'd say skip this and go directly 48v. If 12v system building this has been the best deal per watt hr I could find. At about $420 per 280 battery. Balancing appears to be an issue though. Want to see a total tear down and can't find one as to date.

I'm thinking about getting one of these for my off-grid cottage to replace expired AGM batteries. Question about storing in cold temps of -40F over the winter. I normally close up my cottage at the end of September and before leaving, I make certain that my batteries are well charged. I then disconnect all wires from the terminals so there's NO charge going into the battery and nothing coming out since loads are all disconnected. Would leaving this battery is a cold building (-40F) over the winter damage it ? Would it retain its charge over the winter or would the cold temps cause it to self-discharge? Thanks in advance for any info anyone could provide.

Now what I would like to see you do is take that battery and build it to your own homemade solar generator and how does that compare to your Eco flow Delta two max as for putting out power because by far it’s a considerably bigger battery I guess my question would be with the right and burger. Would that make for a crazy power station asking for a friend that really doesn’t understand the power stations as good as you.

Please please please an lfp battery should be compared to two lead acid batteries as lead acid can typically only be discharged to 50% The lfp battery will typically weigh 1/3 of equally rated lead acid but as it can be discharged 100% it's actually 1/6 the weight of a comparable usable capacity lead acid. Then typically 8 x the no of cycles in use able life to 80% capacity. 8 x 6 = 48 That's 48 x the lifetime capacity

This claim of 10,000 cycles and more is completely unsubstantiated as no one has had one long enough to know and most of the time the bms has problems way before the cells do. I have a few eco worthy lifepo4s that seem to be doing well but they're less than a year old. People buy these and just read the claims of thousands of cycles but they don't read the small print that says dod of less than 70% and to be charged no more than 80% to get that amount of cycles so its similar to a lead acid as far as discharge percentage and the amount of cycles you can get. They are alot lighter and now cheaper than lead acid so thats great
