Town of Salem 2 has different factions in it.
The Coven: The Dreamweaver, Enchanter, Illusionist, Medusa, Conjuror, Jinx, Ritualist, Coven Leader, Hex Master, Witch, Necromancer, Poisoner, Potion Master, Voodoo Master and Wildling
The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf

In ToS1, I had an insane trapper game. Night 2 I trapped the confirmed invest, night 3 trap gets triggered by mafioso and vampire. The mafioso was killed by the trap, while the vampire was killed by VH. That poor invest turned vampire got hung the next day.

Trapper is slightly weak i love the role but i think they need to give it a inch. my idea is just allow the trapper to build a trap in reserve. so once one is placed the next night is used to build one and you can then plant it whenever the first one is dismantled or triggered.

I genuinely think people hate pirate so much more in tos 2 because they don't need them nearly as much as they did in tos 1. In that game survivors and pirates and exes are what win or lose your games where as in tos 2 they only mess you up.

I remember witnessing a hilarious moment as one of my first Trapper games lol. I trapped a TP claim n2 who turned out to be CL. My trap killed the SK who tried attacking the CL, *while* the CL died to a different Trapper who trapped someone else! I was so baffled the entire game bc I thought my trap killed both the SK and CL until the end when I realized there was actually a second Trapper 😂😂

I would admire the dreamweaver brilliant play to see the cleric-trapper chain and dreamweave the cleric on the trap night but they had illusionist in the team and didn't use the potential. On the final day Coven had very little chance of winning even if the Illusionist avoided getting tormented.

I liked how there were less confirming roles in TOS1, like the only roles that you really couldn't claim as evils were mayor and jailor (but if you had a smart team you could maybe get away with it), meanwhile in TOS2 you've got mayor, jailor, deputy, pros, socalite, marshall, monarch, admirer and probably more I'm forgetting. the role-guessers (rit and doom) are great though and I wish they were in TOS 1

Why did people in ToS2 do a complete 180 on pirate. I remember early on in the lifecycle people would give pirate free wins and treat them as town

Pirate should get Basic Defense if they win a duel, and then Invincible when they win both.

Illusion makes the CK appear as a non-harmful visit to BG and Trap, so it skips them entirely. Doesn't quite work for Cleric and Crus since those still give the target defense rather than intercepting an attack

@@lucker1996 fair point, but the game went on until day 7 so it's entirely possible cleric had already selfed at some point. the dreamweaver wiki does mention that an insane cleric may cast a barrier on themselves, but of course we'll never know

​@@an_is_cool Only if it was N1 selfing. And I'm not certain whether insane Cleric on self uses up the self ability since every insane role may target self identically as targeting other players.
