So imagine being able to get a RWD car for 200-300$. If u weld The differential u instantly have an ok working Drift car. And say u spend 200$ more on ECU tuning and higher boost (boost is free on 940, u can get 2 bars from original 13C turbo, but bygger turbos have more displacement ofc)..

It's so nice to see what Robert has done to my old 940. He really took it to the next level. I bought that car back in 2008 from an old man in Linköping Sweden who had the car sence it was new. The car was totally stock and in very good condition. I had the car for seven years and over those years I hade 3 different motors in it. In 2015 I sold the car to a near friend. At that time it had a fully built engine and 512whp/771wnm. He had the car only a short period and then Robert bought it. So many memory's I have linked to that car. :) In my channel I have a few videos of it if someone is interested. Robert has really taken the fast streetcar Volvo I had to an extreme machine and I love it! :D

@davidjohansson14164 жыл бұрын
The reason for the existence of these is because farmers kids should be allowed to help drive tractors from the age of 15 using a tractor lisence. Kids in sweden "build" buy, or convert cars to fullfill the specifications of a tractor, bed in back, triangle for slow vehicle and 2 gearsboxes being some of these required features, for it to be considered a tractor in the eyes of the law.

thanks for the explanation. I wonder if that "trick" would be possible in my country too. looks like fun.
@BentleyWilkinson4 жыл бұрын
An A-traktor or "EPA" doesn't have to have a truck bed. But most do. You have to have a tow-hitch, only seats for one passenger, speed governed to 30hm/h and display the "LGF" triangle on the back. Also, in Swedish Volvo culture it's very common to have ALOT of Poppy Air Fresheners in the front window with the LED lights shining inside the glass bottle. You can see them in the video here aswell at 12:06. A big downside of the A-traktor community is that these youngster often travel to large car meets with several cases of beer and get drunk and it usually ends with cars being destroyed, set on fire and fights breaking out. The car community has become quite hostile and you see that it's a lot more common now to arrange private small car meets to avoid attracting the A-traktors.

The Momo Show he drives orginal volvos unlike this dude
@ToreDL872 жыл бұрын
@@alexanderlindh3557 Well he had an N/A build, and he's gonna rebuild it using a stroker crank out of a Penta. And now he's got a 450hp one with 231 head ported by Dennis Blom and BMW ZF transmission (also prepped by Blom), it's got enough power that it's lifting the head. He's also been modifying knuckles since day 1 to get the best self centering. So, I wouldn't exactly say he drives "original Volvo's" 🤣 Also, most Scandinavian 800hp or whatever B230 builds are mostly only shown on KZbin getting tested on long straights in forests, maybe a few burnouts and thats about it, not exactly what you'd call "drifting" 🤣 And since he's been bashing on one Volvo or the other pretty much non-stop, he's gotten quite good, in Scandinavia we barely do one roundabout or something, Driftnlifts does on-ramps, off-ramps, entire sectors etc, with original and modified Volvo's, IMO he's pretty next level vs MOST Scandinavian Volvo drifters in so far as content and driving skill. Not to detract this build of course, pretty sure it gets shoved sideways, and the driver/builder is certifiably nuts (as it should be).

Some kids rig them up with "ryckspärr" where the car have a normal gearing and if the car gets pulled over you just pull a little string and it conveniently locks the gear-selector to the low gears. It's a bit risky though because if they are caught going too fast the cops can do a thorough inspection of the car and possibly confiscate it.
@Tiaan904 жыл бұрын
The newer builds doesn't require the double gearbox either, they can be electronically limited (which of course opens up for quick disengages of the limiter...). I've seen Porsche Cayenne's, huge Dodge Ram's and shit being registered as A-tractor's.. Even saw a company converting a Volvo V90 (previous taxi) to an A-tractor the other day.
