@@roni1959 Hard to compare the two in my opinion. Monitors will have better picture quality overall. But you can never match the true depth perception that VR provides. Playing with monitors makes interacting with button boxes, mouse/keyboard, etc. easier. But VR actually puts you inside the vehicle. Some might think having more external gear is immersive while some people will say that being inside the cockpit is more immersive. It's really a preference thing. You have to look at the pros and cons of both.

You can adjust your mirrors in the option menu. Turn them in a bit so you can see much more.

I've tried RF2, Assetto Corsa, even F Motorsport 7 (no iRacing yet) on my wheel but no matter what I always get drawn back into AMS 2. Glad you're having a good experience with it!

After watching this I downloaded Automobilsta 2, found the same car but couldn’t find the track you raced on. Been playing ACC for a while but the steering and ffb feels so much better on this! Amazing race and visually outstanding on your rig! Looking forward to the next one! Thank you

@@boostedmedia the arcadey bit (easy slides and everything else that brings) paired with a good tire model, great FFB, and outstanding weather and lighting, are what make this game so great IMO. It really immerses you in the game and makes you feel like a Rockstar.

This looks so cool. IMO ACC / iRacing still takes the cake but AMS2 is getting up there. It's a really tricky thing to get right because the dynamic range and exposure settings of the in game camera, the recording camera and even the monitors and the monitor setting all influence the final look. Slight issue is that no videogame allows you to change the camera (rendering) settings to that extent, and even if it did, the level of understanding required to make everything look right is probably not easy to attain. Let's hope that games that come out in the future allow for more settings so that these videos can look indistinguishable from real life.

Graphically and content wise if you include the mods its the best especially with old open wheelers series. RX is really fun too. If they can nail the slippery side with the aggressive diff, AMS2 will become the best overall sim. But sadly still no real competition system. I put my money on GTR revival tho.

What a game; Automobilista 2. It's just amazing what it all offers and AMS2 looks even more amazing in the Pimax Crystal. I managed to get it running at 1.0 native render resolution of 4315x5100px per eye with 2xMSAA with 90fps/hz locked. This is (only) possible with a 16th resolution ring at 71%, with the foveated rendering ring strechted to 200% horzontally and 10% up you never see the ring. But with this setting my oced 4090 can handle it at a race like this with 90fps/hz locked. THAT'S next level. So try the Crystal again with these settings AND their latest firmware/pimax play version(which give a 100% stable experience here, older releases of pimax play were indeed not stable as you reviewed) and you'll be even more blown away by the experience.

Will you should test some of the mods for AMS. I had a blast on the Nordschleife withe X-Bow GT3 the other day. BTW AMS2 really shines in VR with my Pimax Crystal!

It’s a narrower cabin than most closed cabin cars and the driver sits quite far back. So it should be pretty close.

If AI is over 80 something they start tuning the setup for the track thats given. So a track with long straits they tend to go less aero to win more straight speed, prolly why they left you on the straights and you catched them at corners and while braking. And also AI is a little to good to drive in rain, their slip level control is supersmooth.

I can’t seem to run this game in my triples without my fans kicking in 😵‍💫 I’ve managed to get AC and ACC and even iracing on a performance side of settings that my PC can run but every time I try this game out my fans sounds like a helicopter. Tried turning all setttings to low and even adjusted my nvidia settings to performance. Might just be time for new PC lol

The car he's driving (Ginetta G58 I think) doesn't have DRS. It's one of the only ones without I think, so you lose some time on the straights but still, it's my favourite of the P1's.
