I don't understand how anyone is able to think this fast. I tried playing tgm myself at ctwc and it was insane. It takes a very special type of person and a lot of practice and time and effort to get this good. I honestly don't know if anyone will ever beat this record unless Eric himself does it

One of the most insane videos I've ever seen. Never thought Tetris would make my jaw hit the floor for (almost) 4 minutes straight.

As if that wasn’t impressive enough, go see someone beat Tetrimidion on maniac or watch a video of the glitched colors!
@wschmrdr Жыл бұрын
Was getting ready to post splits, but you beat me to it. ;) Level stop dings on 0xx, 1xx, 3xx, 6xx, 7xx, 9xx, 11xx, and 12xx. Wasn't for long though, and the first 300 seems that 1:06 may be the best it can be due to play speed cap. A 3:52 looks doable, MAYBE a 3:51, but I don't blame you if focus shifts elsewhere. Congratulations on this new record.

@wschmrdr Жыл бұрын
@@znc6359 In terms of ???? Speed cap on the first 300 is well known, as KevinDDR brought it up during AGDQ his first go-around. As for the level stop dings, you'll hear a sort of high-pitched "bell" at x99; listen at 099, 199, 399, and so on to understand what I mean. If you mean the splits, when watching TGM2 or TGM3 master videos, or in this case a world record chase, I'll typically put split times (to the second since I write it live) into the comments to help with post-game analysis. EricICX does this in post-production.

There are so many things I can say about this. First and foremost -- holy shit eric leave some tetris for the rest of us mere mortals wow hahahaha. Second, I love how absolutely unhinged this mode gets, it's beyond uncontrollable for all but the best. And the music is fantastic, too. Oh yeah, and also ggwp, holy crap. One more thing: I love how I can now see some of those NEStris roots in the stacking decisions made in this, just that you do them so damn fast. Sheesh.

Very impressive and incredible. So, why don't you play WORLD RULE?
@Gizmomaster7 Жыл бұрын
World Rule is the Tetris corps mandatory ruleset, involving mechanical differences that allow hard achievements to become easier due to techniques like lock time infinite resets. Classic mode is the harder, and generally more played on mode because of this.
@kimmie5380 Жыл бұрын
@@Gizmomaster7 Dude, check out who you’re replying to. I’m sure they know
@justcuz8202 Жыл бұрын
@@Gizmomaster7There are not infinite resets. In fact, in this game, there are less manipulations allowed than any Guideline game. It does not make the game easier-- in fact, I would argue it's slightly harder, as the game was NOT designed around it and your manipulations/r often end up costing you more and more time that REALLY adds up. It lets you survive more things, sure, but it's a LOT slower also due to the lack of Sonic Drop. That said, I personally use World rule because ARS sucks and I hate it, it feels unresponsive and nonsensical with how only *some* spins/twists are allowed and not others. It's wack Edit, sorry about the BILLION replies, KZbin bugged out so badly
@creepercraftytT99 Жыл бұрын

@speedymatt1236 Жыл бұрын
Definitely faster than the glitched colors for sure
@shny_scott Жыл бұрын
Modern Tetris is faster than classic, yes. To balance that, it's not nearly as strict (such as letting you move your piece after it hits the floor). Classic Tetris requires very tight movement and misdrops can put you in tons of trouble, while mistakes are generally easier to clean up in modern Tetris. They have vastly different play styles.
