Good news, TGM1 finally got ported to the home consoles last December! Is it worth picking up? Find out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJPOaH-CataAf6s

Watching this video knowing that the developers (Arika) would go on to make Tetris 99 certainly explains why that game makes me feel like my heart's gonna explode.

I loved this a lot! I played a homebrew ds version called "nds tgm" that was surprisingly polished, and recently bought TGM1 on Switch. I'm hoping TAP gets released as well!

Thank you so much! I also really enjoyed NDS_TGM, it’s the best we had in terms of portable TGM until the Switch port. Hoping that TAP gets released too!

Just started watching this again. Such an enjoyable retrospective! And now that TAP has been ported, I'm getting hyped for the now (hopefully) inevitable TI port 👌

6:09 I'd like to point out that a better way of describing lock delay is "the time you have to move your piece before you can't do it anymore". Otherwise, great video!

yeah this is a more accurate description, thank you for clarifying!

@@chronosaga You mean like how in modern Tetris you can just keep clicking the button over and over and over again and the piece will just rotate indefinitely?

Hey, awesome video! It's interesting to see Tetris stuff that's not about the Game Boy/NES one! I loved the music as well, though I do have questions: is Windows96 referring to the music artist named that, or the operating system website? Both come up when I search for it. Also, what's Home?
@chronosaga Жыл бұрын
Windows96 and HOME are both synthwave artists! Huge fan of both of their stuff, would highly recommend checking them out. Thank you for the support!

There's actually a planned PS2 port for Tetris The Grand Master 2, but never went released. Man, if it's released it might be the best PS2 tetris game ever besides Tetris Worlds.

How does Tetrimidion on Maniac difficulty compare to the GM feat?
@chronosaga Жыл бұрын
It's hard to say since both of them are both difficult in their own rights. In Tetrimidion on Maniac difficulty, you're fighting against an ai but you're with other people compared to TGM GMs which is you fighting against the game's mechanics. One is multiplayer focused while the other is singleplayer focused, not to mention coordination among players when it comes to Tetrimidion. It's up to your interpretation of difficulty.
@speedymatt1236 Жыл бұрын
I can see that they’re similar in difficulty for sure! Both have a black hole background and only a few chosen players were able to overcome these challenges! I definitely agree it’s difficult to judge which is harder!

8:46 I found this video in 2008-2009 under a name "Fastest Tetris Player Yamota Kazake". Is it a real japanese name? If I google each part of the name individually, I get no results

No idea, all we know is that the guy behind the video's alias is jin8
