The ending line for Wick: “Raven, Roy you’re done. Over” was great if you know these were code names for Rambo and McClane respectively. It’s a line from Rambo 2 about him being left behind to die.

Roy is not really a code name. Hans Gruber was moking McClane and asked him who he was. John Wayne? Rambo? Marshal Dillon? And McClane said "I was always kind of partial to Roy Rogers, actually. I really like those sequined shirts."

@@giovannigio3764 I mean... Using a different moniker to prevent yourself from being identified by your true name is what code names are for in the first place. (or in the case of code names for plans, projects etc, to prevent someone from guessing what the plan/project is about from said name). Either way, obfuscation is the point.

@@accywacky2699 In this case it's clear has was moking him/making jokes. And he did not call him any name. He was just asking him if he was a hero and did give some random names. McClane did answer with one name he liked. So he told that he liked to be compared to Roy. He did not give his name or a code name.

The message in the 3rd movie was ''This film is dedicated to the gallant people of Afghanistan'' but there was a worse version in theatrical release ''This film is dedicated to the brave mujahideen fighters of Afghanistan'' which, fun fact, was the version that was used when the movie first came out in my country (Czechia). I still have it to this day on VHS.

@@zigzaghyena I think I have that VHS still somewhere, but I remember it relatively clearly that mujahideen was mentioned in that text. But if you're right and it was a hoax, then there is another possibility: the text was still the same, however the dubbing (which in case of text like the one we're talking about, is often dubbed instead of translated into text) mentioned mujahideen instead for some reason and I just have those memories mixed up.

Y’know, I’ve actually been dreading the 3-way battle, plus I’m not a big action movie fan, so I’ve been putting off seeing the original video. That was less chaotic than I expected, but _man_ Rambo was still as bad as I expected. Then again, I also only liked First Blood, so really Rambo ruined himself long before the battle started. At any rate, definitely gonna give the original a view and check out the behind the scenes. Also, I’m absolutely here for the trivia. Love learning about these things in this context. I know there’s audience feedback and trying to keep up with what’s trending on youtube, but I really want to encourage you to react to more things that you know intimately, because that passion is incredibly engaging and entertaining. You’ve gotta flex those trivia muscles more often.

Richard Crenna played Trautman on Rambo but the most amazing thing about that is that he also played the parody of that same character in Hot Shots 2. I can't from the top of my head think of another actor who has played both a character and the parody of said character in a movie.

OMG, yes, I remember the Rambo and Robocop cartoons growing up. Sigh, the 80's were such a strange time. I miss 'em tho. Lol! 😆 And the 80's Robocop movie...just pure, unadulterated violence. I haven't seen any Die Hard series film, but I do like Willis in other flicks. Even with that caveat, Lloyd-as-McClane sounded "off" to me, I could hear pieces of other impressions he's done, Al Capone, Donald Trump, even some Jeff Bezos squeak, but I didn't hear a single unified Bruce Willis in this. Similarly, I've seen a large number of Keanu films, but not the Wick ones; I could really hear him in Zack's impression. And that tipped the balance for me from McClane to Wick.

Remarkably, whilst it's been 5 years since we saw Sherwin in an ERB, he actually only missed one season. He was Gretzky in the 3rd-from-last episode of S5 and this is officially the 3rd battle in Season 7, so strictly speaking it's not been that many battles in between!

Actually, it's the 15th battle of Season 6. There's 12 in the Season 6 playlist, but the last one isn't a Season Finale, and it's the third battle after that one, and none of the 3 were Season Finales either, so apparently they just forgot to update the playlist. Where did you even get that it was the second battle? Also, Season 6 actually started back in December 2018, so it's lasted more than 3 years now!

@@AlexanderAzarov I got mixed up on season numbers (just straight up forgot the existence of S5) but Sherwin was still Gretzky towards the end of S5 anyway, so the point still stands. As for S6. S6's closer is officially Potter v Skywalker, which is why '3 are missing', because they aren't. Ragnar v Richard, Musa v Bezos and this are all S7 (I forgot about the Ragnar one as well). John Wick was great. John Wick 2 was good, and explored new themes. John Wick 3 starts to suffer from sequelitis and does not further the storyline set up by 2 in any meaningful way. No idea about 4. Not sure that I want to come back to the series until it's done and I can binge.

I never really liked the John Wick movies at all, so his "hardest hitting" line of being the only one to go three movies without sucking fell really flat to me... I thought he never went one movie without sucking. I've never liked any sort of revenge/vengeance porn... in the sense that it's a movie/show where the whole point is to make the viewer feel good about the main character(s) taking visceral revenge out on someone.
