Hope you all enjoy this first arrangement back after a long time of being away! Also, if I look a bit overly serious or stiff in this video... I promise you I am absolutely having fun! It's just been a while since I've been in front of a camera for KZbin so I think I'm just out of practice of showing my energy on camera LOL. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say you’re among the most talented musicians of all time. It’s clear that you are an incredibly motivated, hardworking musician and this performance is an absolute masterpiece. I’ve loved listening to your arrangements at work (I even make my students listen to them!) and I’m so glad to see you return. I’ve always wanted to study music composition so I can start to write my own songs, and I’ve just been too lazy to do so because of exhaustion from my job/depression, but seeing this video was incredibly motivating. It’s a reminder of what hard work can achieve. Welcome back to KZbin! I truly missed your stuff.

As a trombone player myself, that trombone sounds so good! You've really gotten better over the years. It seems your grip has also improved. I think the hardest thing on trombone is tonguing, if you're feeling extra zealous you could try double tonguing! Think Di-Gi Di-Gi, or for me personally da-ga da-ga. You'll be surprised how much more you can do with that!
@insaneintherainmusic Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Yeah watching back some of my first videos on trombone, I'm like "wow, did my grip really look like that?" I definitely feel the tonguing thing - that's something I'm going to be looking into next! I felt like it was super hard to get clear articulation on some of the double time passages in this arrangement.

He is back, but something is different this time. It is like Carlos took a pilgrimage up a mountain or traveled to many places somewhere else and spent that time in solitude as he unraveled the secrets and hidden knowledge behind Jazz. Then he came back to society to show all of us what he has learned. Absolutely amazing arrangement Carlos! I remember discovering your videogame orchestra movements when I was 13 (I am 18 now and in my first year of college) and from there is was amazing to see you grow so much and now you are back and better than ever!
