I keep reading all the negative comments on this kid...He is amazingly talented and gifted. I find his playing refreshing and unique. With all that being said he may not be everyone's cup of tea. Lets give him credit for musicianship and skill and appreciate his playing. It mayy not be everyone's taste but lets enjoy./give him some props

Who got butt hurt? And the similarities im mentioning are there technique wise and through looking at it theoretically(So its not an opinion.). Just listen to 1:09 - 1:20, that could have been Petrucci, and the part after that sounds like Michael Romeo.. I couldnt hear a single lick from Van Halen or Jake E. Lee, but i could hear several Vinnie Moore, John Petrucci and Michael Romeo licks.. so tell me what part you are thinking of and il check it out!

Shawn lane RIP' was also big heavy set guitarist, Who cares! He played shit other guitar shredders cannot figure out to this day how he did certain things.. Paul gilbert once said he was the scariest man alive. He was good friends with buckethead and sometimes paul gilbert was allowed to jam with them. Even though paul gilbert was bucketheads teacher for a while, paul was a little jealous of buckethead because buckethead would play what paul had showed him right handed. Really blew Pauls mind.
@sirmoglok14 жыл бұрын
@LEOJ024 Not that i think it's completly beyond him either, he has moments (maybe moreso in a few of his other clips). But I would still say he needs work in songwriting department. Perhaps the word 'songwriting' wasn't precise enough for you, i could say 'solo-writing', which is songwriting in essence, though i do feel 'songwriting' is an adequate enough word in my explanation.

@sirmoglok14 жыл бұрын
@LEOJ024 yes, and good guitar solo's have good structure, and flow nicely in harmony to the music it's with. As much talent as this guy has, he's not creating beautiful music in my view, merely providing some frequently impressive technicality with his instrument.
@myenemy86315 жыл бұрын
Pretty good but if you want to get better you should go to American Rock School and ask for Miles

I am a fat dude too, and its not about the appearance that he should cut down its about health issues believe me I know. I used to be obese, but I manage to cut down and be more healthy. Although I consider my self still fat, I may sound very insulting when I said that very sorry about that no dis respect meant I just dont beat around the bush when I give advice or suggestions.

Im not "mr. what i say is RIGHT", but i have read musical theory, and i guess you have not.. and this video is more progressive-neoclassical in its style, while Van Halen has a more blues-based approach to his playing. Jake E. Lee is also neoclassical in his playing, but not progressive, and he never uses any of the patterns/licks used in this video.
