Insanely Amazing Guitar Solo

I first saw this 6 years ago, when I started learning to play. I've come a long way since then. There are many videos that inspired me back then, that I still respect, but they don't blow me away anymore. This is the first time I've watched this in about 4 years, and I gotta say that it still blows my fucking mind. It's just plain ridiculous technique. I'm not holding the guy up on a pedestal or anything. I'm just sayin'. Guy is fucking fast, and fucking clean. Crazy.

lawrence Still impressive. The guy's just fucking smooth. There is plenty of stuff that is more musically interesting, but the technique on display here will always impress me. I especially love the flamenco thumb technique around 1:38. That's just a weird choice you know? But, I can tell he wanted a scratchier attack for that section, and that was good way to get it. There are lot of choices like that. There's a clear understanding of what he wants and he's taken the time to refine a wide array of techniques to produce those specific effects. He's awesome.

A year and a half after it was added I still listen to this (and the other Fernando Miyata solos) all the time. And this is still one of my all time favourite pieces of music. Ever. The energy... The innovation... The dynamic technique... Still blows my mind. Keep making music, man.
