My childhood memories consist of Sunday trips to Ongpin with either my Mom or Uncle to partake of Chinese cuisine long before the proliferation of malls and fast food joints. I always make it a point to bring my family to Binondo whenever we’re home to bring back those memories. Thanks Nelly and Mike for helping me relive the past. Yum! 😀

Amazing video I love Chinese food especially dim sum it really light great thing to enjoy in the day. I am sure I saw Ivan doing a tour with some people when I was in Chinatown. He was at a store that had all kinds of snacks in huge jars that could buy in bulk. I believe it was in that kind of alley way with all the food stalls. I want to go back to that alley way and try more of the great food.

Dim sum, Baozi (Siopao) is breakfast food in China, your meal is a typical dim sum breakfast in Southern China Guandong (Cantonese) you're doing it all correctly. Most Chinese restaurants in Binondo and the rest of the Philippines are Guandong (Cantonese) cuisines. Xinnian Kuaile (The real common way that Chinese in China say Happy New Year!) to you!
