I assume the birds here symbolize freedom, which Eren seek for in his whole series. The lyrics from the songs are so good and actually link to each seasons, so listening to them after finishing AOT will hit different. You can see the first and last ED have similar scenes at the start, the first song is about Mikasa and the last one is Eren's answers to her questions.

I am Japanese. I saw your reaction video for the first time today. I love anime and I love learning about cultural differences abroad. Attack on Titan is one of the greatest masterpieces of Japanese animation that exists as many as the number of stars. After watching all the episodes, listen to the final ending song again! If possible, you definitely need to know the meaning of the lyrics! At that time, I think you can understand the true value of this ending song.

This is a great reaction, Insanian! I am surprised that you thought the fifth ending had a hopeful tone because in my personal opinion, it's the most sad. It's one of those rare songs that viscerally affects me when I listen to it. The last ending is also my favorite! Mostly because I know I will listen to it every time it plays, but also because it's centered around Eren. He's my favorite character, and he is probably one of my favorite anime protagonists period. Your reaction to episode 7 of attack on titan is one of my favorite reaction videos of the series--I think I forgot to mention that at the time--but your tears at Mikasa's decision to fight really moved me. Anyways, keep watching!

Each opening and ending has a meaning to the story. The lyrics are important, and if you watch the anime, it is even more touching.. The last ending is my favourite of all times, and I cried healing it even with no knowledge of the lyrics' meaning at first.. the song itself touched my soul... You can't imagine how many times I cried just by listening to it. The Animation is different in last 2 seasons because the animation studio had changed.
