I feel like Eren's freedom isnt what you think. It feels like freedom of choice, freedom from orders, from instincts, not just freedom from judgement. Ofc that is a part of the whole and i believe its absolutely correct, but eren's freedom from my perspective goes beyond our concept of it. Just like a transcendent concept that isnt bound by our reality's limit. in that it could be described as philosophical freedom, but i have not enough knowledge to debate in that field. All i wanted to say is, i feel like Eren's freedom isnt understandable so easily that you can define it, the character went so deep it lost most attachments to everything in aot's world.
@RichterBelmont233 жыл бұрын
@@andreaalajmo271 i guess Eren's freedom is different from each individual's perspective. For me, Eren's freedom is simply wanting to live a normal life in a normal world where everyone accepts their race as normal beings, not defined for what their ancestors did in the past.

I think the second part of the lyrics is alluding to the theme of attack on titan, being the line between good and evil being blurred. The thing you thought was the devil itself could really just be an angel from a different perspective. And yourself who you always believed was right (an angel) could really actually be a devil from someone else’s view

My humble interpretation of the Angel/Devil lyric is that it’s about perspective, which is a central theme of AoT. Obviously something showed up, but what it is depends on who YOU are. Whatever showed up is whatever it is. What you label it is on you. If it aligns with your beliefs, it’s an angel. If not, it’s a devil.

I agree with you about the “incomplete” resolution of the track. But seeing it in the context of the show I feel as if that was down intentionally considering what happens during its runtime in the episode. I find this to be a common trend with a lot of the songs in the soundtrack. A good few tracks are left almost wanting to continue at their resolution. But if you watch the show, you’ll know that there’s always more to come after the song ends, plot-wise at least. The events the song covers may have ended but there’s always something else coming afterwards. There may have been a loss or a victory but it is never an absolute one. Just my two cents.
