The Redstone River another local river part of our heritage. paddeling solo the bottom part of the river from Douglas TWS road to Langmir road, This section of the river is easier to navigate compared to the smaller less traveled top part of the river.
the river had portage trails back in the 80's like other local rivers but the forest has moved in. My guess is the local trapper takes care of the logjams before they get too big (Thanks for that) Traveling at low water crossing many beaver dams and rapids, near the end the river enters the northern claybelt changing the water color to a beige brown. hope this helps.
