She's the only character who doesn't get a real break after a mission. Even during the time period where Nemesis wasn't around yet she couldn't eat or sleep because guys were watching her. Meanwhile Leon gets like an 8 year break before he has to do anything substantial again.

Again, the book series was actually pretty legit. There were some original novels in between ones based on the games, and actually did have original characters there that seemed to be kill fodder, lol. SD Perry was the author. The lore was neat, for example they explain Jill's lock picking skills as something she learned from her father, (no joke) Dick Valentine, who was a former cat burgler.

I remember preordering the Nemesis novelization before it came out and waiting for weeks for my copy to arrive at my book store. Though i admit i never liked the... Portland? STARS members. They felt a bit fanficy. Fossil too but Fossil was hardcore. Ain't nobody fucking with Fossil. Though i lost interest when the games started to fuck with the story. I HATE retcons. Didn't read the Code Veronica and 0 ones anymore :/ in hindsight i wish i did. Maybe they're on kindle.

Lmao. In his defense though, lockpicks weren't a mechanic at all in the Re2 remake due to story continuity (Jill starts the game in the OG with a lockpick bc it's a learned skill from her father; Leon and Claire do not have this skill), and in Re7, the lockpicks WERE 1-time use consumables. Given that these guys avoid spoilers like the plague unless they're really stuck, I'm not surprised that Jirard was going off of the most recent prior mechanics the devs made.

They (Jirard, maybe?) even called Carlos misogynistic earlier - that made me look in the comments, especially if you consider the rumors / allegations against him. I hate to say this because the term is so overused, but it seems there's a bit of SJW-ness going on among the Squad. They seem to see Carlos as a womanizing pig trying to defenestrate Jill, while I see a man in a horrible situation trying to help and dealing with stress through very innocent flirting and humor. Carlos quite literally saves Jill's life and then flirts with her after a near death moment; note how he doesn't even ask her name, which demonstrates that he uses flirtation and humor to cope. Everyone has their quirks and how they deal with stress, and it's strange that people can't or won't understand that.

However, in the safe room that they are currently in at this time, Nemesis CAN ENTER THAT ROOM if he's chasing you from the ally way side (that was previously on fire). I walked in and he came in there after me. The only reason he lost agro in the room on the left is due to the scripted cutscene.

The joke Carlos made in the beginning about what you like in a man was pretty f****** bad considering that thing tried to kill her repeatedly. I swear I thought I was going crazy because some of the comments said Carlos’ innocent flirting to deal with stress was a acceptable personality quirk that the squad was overreacting about. It might be a quirk, but it would be extremely annoying in reality, hence, Jill’s reaction. Just think about a strange guy flirting with you during a life or death zombie apocalypse. Having said that, I love the way the characters a written. Carlos’ quirks and chill nature, and Jill’s seriousness and badassness are a fun combo.

there are some issues with this game, but I can't remember the last time I felt so anxious playing a video game as going through the deimos nest. All my senses were dialed up to ten just trying to get through that area. I just really wish it was a larger segment. That's my main problem with the game, the best areas feel like small footnotes to the rest of the game
