Jo an Al need a travelling show (like Trinny n Suzanna What not to wear) dressing many plus size girls not just in bridal wear in everyday clothes These 2 know a woman's body instantly what looks good on certain shapes They truly change lives. Jo and Al do better than years of sitting down with a psychologist I adore these women This episode the brides looked stunning both are really pretty girls

One thing I do wish more bridal salons did was have not just the model size or looking consultants. Even if they are trained or have a positive attitude toward all types, one thing about these two is they truly know what a bigger bride feels or one that has lost a lot of weight but still has not internally accepted her new self. Someone who never has had to fear what a store clerk may think or say or worry if there may be something big enough would never understand no matter how nice they may be. Wish these ladies or ones like them were in USA back when I got married.

They look so beautiful in their dresses but those short veils are not attractive with them. They draw attention to the upper arm and shorten the brides height. Why do they never put full length veils on?

They are just giving the brides a general idea of the full picture. Besides, there are all kinds of veils from "bird cage" that just covers the face, to shoulder length, elbow length, fingertip length, chapel length, cathedral legth, single-tier, double-tier, triple-tier. Picking the right veil to go with the final choice wedding dress is a chore in itself. Who knows what the bride will finally want in a veil? Places like Kleinfeld's can maintain large inventories of all sorts of things; it's located in NY City as opposed to Jo and Al's specialty shop; a niche boutique located in the Essex countryside. 💐

I believe the full length veil would detract from and/or obscure the bride’s view of the dress, which item she needs to decide upon first. Remember, we’re watching the gown selection process, not the headpiece & veil selection process... and the dress is, after all, the most important component of a bride’s wedding day attire. Also, try to keep in mind that headpieces and veils are not really body-size dependent. In other words, once a dress has been picked out, the bride can go anywhere for her veil... she could not, however, just go to any old shop for an appropriately styled, correctly fitted dress.💁🏻‍♀️

West Winds and Jennifer Lynn, what you say is true, but a simple full length veil always hi- lights the bride and her dress while alongating your body and softening the look of the arm, like a haloing affect. It never detracts from the dress and bride. The short veils can detract from it, which in this case I think it did. The top of that gown had some beautiful detailing that was covered by the ends of that veil and it made the brides neck look squated.
