Add your sketch to the workspace in Fusion 360 to aid in modeling

How did you get the canvas to move...I don't see move copy... sorry to be more precise...the canvases are locked to the origin point?

I got it....still in the sketch form

To move a canvas you need to right click on it in the browser and edit the canvas. It doesn't work in the normal move copy way.

@@WhatMakeArt yes you need to be in the sketch mode...had to watch your video a few times to catch my mistake

Hey! When I create a new canvas with the new component selected, for some reason it creates the canvas and canvas folder in the parent folder of the project. I am using the personal license version of Fusion 360. Am I doing something wrong or is this a limitation of the personal version?

Are you sure the little circle is selected by the component? If the little circle is selected by the top component then it will be in that. But if the little circle is selected to the name of the actual component in the browser, then the sketch will be in that component

@@WhatMakeArt Thank you for such a quick reply!! After some digging on the Fusion 360 forums and a few responses, it seems that the solution for what I was experiencing was to make the Sub Component Origin visible, then it would allow me to link the Canvas to that Sub Component. I'm still not sure why I have this extra step, but it seems to be working. Thank again! Awesome video by the way.

It might say choose from computer or select file or upload file
