I remember when the original DOA shrimp came out and got popular. I never had much luck with them. I should try them again and add some ProCure or Dr Juice scent. Growing up in Florida we used a lot of shrimp. Now I live in Virginia by the Chesapeake Bay shrimp aren't as popular, you can't buy live shrimp here at bait shops. But shrimp are good bait here. Gulp shrimp are very good for reds, trout and flounder just like in Florida. It was cool to see the tarpon snook. That's one I haven't caught. Neat fish.

Hey thanks for watching!!! Yea, give them a try! Pro cure is a great addition as well, especially in dirty water conditions. Have you used a popping cork up there in Virginia?

Cut shrimp is my main bait in the Chesapeake bay specifically southern Maryland and Virginia I’ve had the most success with cut shrimp I’ve caught 30+ inch stripers with shrimp and some nice size over slot reds

@@TheCaptainsLogTV yes I have caught redfish and trout here with a popping cork and Gulp Swimming Mullet and Gulp shrimp and some other soft plastics. I haven't tried a DOA under a cork but I'm sure it would work. I like the cigar shape and the round ball type popping corks, the cupped ones haven't worked out for me.

@@GirthyJP I appreciate the advice. But I don't have the patience to feed the croakers, spots, and all the other little fish that eat cut shrimp. Even soft plastic shrimp get shredded here. Last Fall I caught a lot of live shrimp and I caught a bunch of trout and redfish with them, just like in Florida. But I had to use a popping cork just to keep them off the bottom because of the little stuff. I rarely use real bait anymore.
