This was filmed Monday afternoon 2/1/21 at Simpson's Creek. And if you guys remember the weather from that day, we had a STRONG cold front push in with 20-30mph freezing cold winds out of the Northeast! Needless to say, I was the only person out there and actually didn't see a single other fisherman on any waterway during the drive there.
I had about 3 hours to fish and made the most of it, hoping for enough action for a video. As you can/will see, there were plenty of hungry fish to be caught. Definitely left them biting that day! All fish were caught on Slayer Inc Baby Bass paddletail and Gulp swimming mullet.
Hope you enjoy the video. Also keep an out for the next video! "Speckled Trout Catch & Draw"!
Thanks for all the new subscribers and likes! The channel is growing and I now have an addiction to creating content for everyone to enjoy! Thank you for all of the support!

Brave man to fish in the cold! You were tearing up those lady fish LOL! Where's the launch point for the creek you were fishing?
@VISUAL-LY
@VISUAL-LY 3 жыл бұрын
😂 I launched at kayak Amelia. Just pay a small fee. The launch is extremely tide dependent though. Unusable anywhere near low tide. They also have a floating dock, however it’s a total pain to use so I avoid it

Nicely Done! Do you prefer the smoke gulp due to the water color or just in general? White has always been my go-to

Just in general. I always like to pick colors that mostly resemble the natural bait they feed on👍 Thanks bud!

I’m spooled with 12lb braid with 12lb fluorocarbon leader. I also use a setup with 15lb braid + 20lb leader. 3/16oz jighead on both setups. If it’s windy, try to cast lower, closer to the water. Almost like a sidearm cast. Hope that helps!🤙

How do you like the Shimano GLF? I bought one online without being able to test one in person. I bought a 7’6 MH fast action. Would you say it’s all bark or does it have bite? Sensitivity? Does it feel weak? Haven’t had a chance to test mine since I live 3 hours away from anything fishing.

I have the 7'6 Medium Fast. Tried casting soft plastics on a 3/16 ounce jighead and wasn't extremely happy with the distance. But recently tried it with a topwater and it performed amazingly! Overall happy with the purchase. I would purchase again.
