Water bottles are allowed in every Olympic sites! The official rule is up to 75cl, metal or plastic (no glass) but I've seen people coming in with much bigger water bottle or even jar, no problem. Security may ask you to do a drink test (had it once only). Tips if you don't have a bottle and want a cup: You can just pay the 2€ for the "consigne" and get an empty returnable cup (and you can get your 2€ back if your bring the cup back). You don't have to take a drink with it. (Did it in Concorde because I wanted the cup, they have a nice non-Coca one that makes a good souvenir.) There are also no rule against passing security with food, it's not in the list of prohibited items, and I entered multiple games with food in my bag that security saw.

It's funny because I keep advising that people bring their own food and then keep forgetting to do so myself. I got in with water bottles yesterday no problem too 👍

That Olympic torch cauldron is amazing. What a shame you couldn’t get up closer. Ah well hopefully you do before it goes! I’ve been really enjoying the Games , albeit on TV, so it must be fantastic to be actually at the events!

i'm visiting mid-sept and hope the flame will still be there. i know it's supposed to be extinguished at the end of the games, but also read anne hidalgo is in favor of keeping it around! 🤞

During the opening ceremony there was a pianist and a singer in a floating thing in the river and the piani was on fire. I think it is the same artifacts used on the olympic flame

The Olympic flame is not fire, it is made of electricity and water. Ecological 2024 games with a bowl that does not burn with oil or gas. The magic 🏅🏅🏅

@@user-qw4kc9ue8k There is no fire in Olympic cauldron. However, the Olympic torch and the mini cauldrons that were lit along the Olympic torch relay use propane to supply the flame.

Juliette Armanet appeared on a raft singing "Imagine" as part of a call for peace, accompanied by Sofiane Pamart on a burning piano. The piano was not lit by the Olympic torch.

Is it true that there is no real fire in the olympic flame? I read it is a lot of led ligths and water spray that simulate the flames.

It's true. The real flame is next to it in a rather small transparent box.
