Not bad at all. And it seems quite reasonably priced, considering the location. Still, just a bit too many modern design touches to the interior, that dilute the character for me. Even if it seems stock from the outside. I did find myself liking the big bold animal print wallpaper though…surprisingly!

It’s on a lot with other houses/cottages - shame they didn’t convert the top floor into the master bedroom w suite/dressing room & convert one bedroom into an ensuite for the larger guest room on the first floor… The energy rating for the house is not good (D & E), & the train is right behind it so probably quite noisy … Seems low in price for what it could be renovated into if had the cash… Much to make of that front garden part too…

I agree 100% £1.2 M for this place with all of its charm and amenities? An hour from Knightsbridge by tube or car!! The Cotswolds right next door!! These folks must really need to sell. If I had the $$$/£££ to buy this place I would be on a plane tomorrow. This is almost my perfect UK retirement dream house in the perfect location and at a reasonable price.

It's a mid terrace, not the whole building, and the Maidenhead/London railway line runs across the bottom of the back yard. 😉

@@PaulCooksStuff Hey it's just me, my wife and my Labrador retriever!! My daughter might visit or other friends or relatives from Texas. I'd need a Morgan Plus 4 for the countryside and a larger car or Range Rover to explore around with. For me This place would just work. Perfect for us and my favorite part is that they really conserved the original details. Unfortunately unless I win the Lottery I still have 15 years before I retire so can't do it now. But if I could do it now we really would be on a plane tomorrow. The beautiful carriage house plus it's location is amazing for me at least.

@@christianoliver3572 the broad location and scenery is sublime. I've walked the Thames path around there many times and gawped at the multimillion riverside mega mansions. But as I said, bear in mind there's a triple train line next to your tiny back yard and they run every 10 minutes.

@@PaulCooksStuff I lived 3 to 6 months out of the year in London from the early 1980s to almost 2000. We lived in Knightsbridge two blocks from Harrods. Even though the 80s were horrible for the UK economy it was actually part of my father's salary because the company he worked for Smith & Wesson, was bought by a British company. So yes the world headquarters for one of the best known American firearms companies was owned for almost thirty years by a British company. That fact will win pub trivia as nobody will get that right. Anyway some of my friend's parents had houses that backed up to rail lines and it didn't bother me so much back then. It wasn't as bad as a hotel I stayed at in Chicago at the same level as an elevated train line. That was very loud. I would have to really spend some time there both inside and out though to experience the train line noise for myself. I guess it could put me off.

Why is it necessary to add "area' to so many places in the property? It is used for upstairs, piano!!,kitchen, courtyard, playground, storage and loft. I don't see any additional information is provided by saying "area"

hated the way they've ripped out the heart of the old home downstairs just a usual bland 'modern' approach and doesn't respect any of the history of the building at all and a poky courtyard area at the back. Then its a completely different home upstairs keeping much more to the original feel of the place so a bit mixed up and doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up. And only one bathroom??? Not my cuppa tea at all sorry
