Ignoring that I'll never be able to afford this place, what I appreciate so much is that it is clearly a lived in and well looked after space. I feel like so many of the giant mansions featured on this channel are meant more to be show pieces to overtly brag about the owners wealth than to be an actual place of residence. This is a living, breathing, functioning family home, with stylistic choices made to that end. It's much nicer for it.

Totally agree. It's a nice change for the awful mansions they've been featuring lately, this one is classy and homely. Such a shame that it's so close to the waterfront and without any elevation though. The whole area will most likely be under water in 5-10 years.

Architecturally this is one of the most stunning homes I’ve ever seen, but I am surprised it was filmed and posted on AD decorated as it is now. (See: both sets of wall sconce in primary bedroom, bookshelf in fireplace in play room, cardboard box in library, unfinished cabinets in laundry room, etc.)

have a feeling the low pricing is down to the state of the house....it could need renovations, consolidating etc also it says 14 bedrooms but i think more than half those 14 are the former maids rooms in the mansard roof, aka very small and not easily accessible also 8 baths to 14 beds isnt ideal ratio these days, not in a mansion ..

Very nice property overall. I wasn’t initially very keen on the external rounded French Chateau like architecture (I prefer the squared off geometry of Georgian like homes) but it’s really lovely on the inside! Classy, warm and in very good taste. The location right on the waterfront with its own sandy beach is just the cherry on the cake! Worth every penny of its asking price. I actually wouldn’t of been so surprised if it had sold for nearly twice that. The best home I’ve seen on this channel in a while 😁

I Love that even though the mansion is huge it still feels cozy and homey to me cause most homes like this just feels like a empty space and not a home but this feels like a home and not just a mansion. And frankly 12.9 Mil is a Decent price for this masterpiece so if I had this amount of money I probably spent it for this beauty not just for me but for my Family cause what is a home of no one but you lives in it.

I actually hate the furniture and interior. The molding, plaster, that kind of stuff is great. But every room has so much clutter. There are floor sculptures, rows of couches, walls of armoirs - its either poorly staged or else the house is being used for storage. I hate it. There should be a grand piano, wide open space, a couch here and there, none of the floor sculptures and sets of drawers everywhere. I hate it
