Love what she's done with the space, and the natural light is amazing! My only question is, wouldn't the radiator ruin her electronics?
@denverdubois58352 жыл бұрын
They don't necessarily get that hot to the touch. I lived with one once and it just got warm. It did put out a lot of heat cumulatively, though. I always had to leave a window open or my place would get overheated. It was an apartment in a converted house so the situation with the bill was difficult. It's hard to split up a steam heat system, apparently. So we all just divided the bill up by square footage lol. The woman with the biggest apartment paid the bill and we paid her. Weird but it worked. I will say I loved steam heat. The weird noises the radiator would make weren't a problem once I got used to them, and in California's dry climate the slight humidifying effect was nice.

It's a cute space and Joy has done a very nice job with it. I think the plants really make the place appealing. However, there are at least a couple of things I would find both annoying and difficult. The first is that it doesn't appear that she can open her front door fully, due to the sofa (and this may also be an issue with the dresser drawers on the other side of the sofa as well, but I don't think we got a good enough angle on that to know how much space there is for opening all the drawers). Second, one drawer and one lower cabinet in that already tiny kitchen are completely unusable, due to the placement of the stove & fridge. I realize it's a huge deal to be one of only a few suites in the building to *have* a kitchen but it's still critically important to maximize all the available storage space. And that's an *amazing bathroom, both in terms of size, and the old tiles!
@mrod87 Жыл бұрын
Yeaaa i wasn’t a fan 😂 most her drawers don’t open…her fridge won’t even open with that island there. Fridge should be opposite the sink and the oven should be shifted over. And the island can be an island….

Joy furnished her apartment sooooo beautifully. Her apartment is both down-to-earth yet still super classy and stylish. The downside of the apartment for me is the toilet/bathroom being next to the kitchen: I am generally NOT a fan of that type of layout. The only thing I would add to the the apartment is to physically demarcated the living room from the bedroom using either a white luxurious room divider curtain or sliding frosted glass door. Also what is behind the door next to the kitchen??🤷🤷🤷🤷

Nicely decorated and very efficiently organized. 🌿🌱🍀Plants are so important because they take the carbon dioxide we breathe out, keep the carbon to grow and put the oxygen back in the air for us to breathe in. It is the perfect symbiotic pairing between animals and plants. 🌵🥀🍃And the plants are just so pretty.

I assume the dresser for a lot of it, but still--surely there's a closet somewhere?! Unless it wasn't originally a studio, I suppose. It's common nowadays to chop up old one and two bedroom prewar apartments. Maybe the closet got lost in the shuffle. That's pretty crazy, though.
