As a property developer, these houses need to be more cosier than just large open useless spaces, alot of properties in place like this don't really get snapped up... The study was just overly open, places like that don't need to be as big. Spa was beautiful no doubt and garages etc were lovely. Even the 3 en-suite's were just unecessary as well as the huge boot room, the cinema room could've been built better. but theres alot of spaces to improve, great work guys!

I am American and I have seen a lot of home improvement and interior design shows from the UK. There are many differences in the way that our dwellings look. I was a real estate agent for a while and I saw several multi million dollar houses. For $30 million pounds I just expected so much more. I don't find it to be aesthetically pleasing maybe because I don't understand the style. Probably more of a cultural difference than anything else. I love the UK and I'm obsessed with you Brits so please don't take it personally. Just an academic observation. Cheers❤

This seems more like a hotel than a home. It’s just too big for a family to really enjoy properly. Considering how luxurious it all is I think the staff bedrooms are pitiful! Not even on suit either but one tiny shower between three rooms! It makes me wonder how the staff are considered. As “beneath” them? Maybe the staff rooms could be massage rooms and then the whole place could be used as a private luxury hotel or rented accommodation? The staff could live in a separate purpose built building elsewhere on the land.

Funny thing is: It’s actually not that expensive when you take into account (1) the cost per livable sqm, (2) the grounds etc. that come with it and (3) the insane construction costs. Then again, the fact that it doesn’t sell itself effortlessly probably tells you that the location isn’t all that great and/or that even “true” prospective buyers think that it’s over the top…

Remember seeing this listed on right moves years ago! Beautiful house not sure about the red brick and the front I might have rendered that and painted it white. Only issue with houses at this price in the uk is that they just don’t sell as quick as the US. Also the fact that it’s very personalised towards the current owners taste. Most people that can afford this have money and not taste.

Think it's appealing with the land that comes with it. Looking at the outside the colour scheme is terrible, the entrance/lobby is nice though. The wallpaper is terrible would never use wallpaper in today's new builds. Also like the gallarie, nice colour scheme with double height ceilings as you said, very nice kitchen with the way the stoves/ovens are laid out. I would use the space as an office for me. The main living room is a let down, would have had a large screen on the wall but it does bring in some light as well. Making the assumption it belongs to a famous horse owner/jockey perhaps? To me though their is no real flow though it's a bit all over the place. Probably appeal to a celebrity/sports person otherwise a business person who would be happy to use the rest of the land for potential development other opportunities. Overall I would say looking at the outside front it lets the inside interiors down in my opinion but still a nice property with a lot of potential. But don't know why you would need a security guard full time though.
@fannycraddock993 жыл бұрын
Well, where do I begin! It's a house but it would never make a home, just way too big. It may possibly be bought by someone who will never occupy it! From the front it looks like an '80's office block, it's much nicer looking from the rear. The servants quarters are pretty mean expecting 3 people to share 1 bathroom when there is so much wasted space elsewhere. One good thing, it's not overlooked! Thanks.

A really bizarre property. There is no overall style just a mish mash of ideas for both the interior and building shape. My guess is that the relationship with the professionals employed was strained.

Wow what a coup! I always ask, but more shots of the views please, especially for a property like this!

Amazing house, loved the tour. My only criticism is, the staff would probably work hard keeping that place tip top and I would have had the three staff bedrooms have a small en-suite each. 🙄 apart from that it was fabulous.

A small price to pay for being lucky to live in the same place as they work, and also think of all the free amenities they can use.

I would have expected some sort of staff kitchen and lounge, unless as has been suggested they can use parts of the main house which would not always be that practical, or they are working whenever not sleeping.
