To others who check out this video, who wonder about the bigger cities' prices, I also live in a loft apartment (looks like bigger than this one) and I pay around ¥7500/$1100 for mine. This type of rent gap is par for the course in China. If you live in any smaller city and by "smaller", I mean not: Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, you should be able to find a nice, new apartment for very cheap, but I must say: as someone who's been in China for almost six years. That price is amazing and the quality is nice too. As a capital city, I didn't think Kunming would be THAT cheap.

Beautiful apartment. The only thing I don't think I can get used to is that if I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I would have to go downstairs and be wide awake!

contact an agent who can speak english. i assume you move there for working? otherwise you wouldn´t get a residence permit anyways. ask your colleagues for such agents. there are some companies who offer all kinds of services to expats who cannot speak english. also your cinese coworkers normally will be very happy to help and assist you with everything.

I think it's too expensive compare to rent you get in dongguan and some areas in Guangzhou! I pay that amount for two bedroom n a living room in Huadu a beautiful city near the airport

There is another place in china where the rent is much cheaper. Ten miles silver beach, huizhou. Apartment rent there is as low as 1500 yuan

Nice place but if anyone expects to move to China and get an apartment like that for 1800 yuan keep dreaming. Most cities that apartment would cost 5000 - 10,000 yuan.

@iamoorah please I need a guide on how to relocate to China, this Canada is draining me, I work remotely for an AI company which is based in America, I make like $3,200 monthly but I can't even see the money, and I can hardly save, cost of things here be ruining m@d, I pay $1,700 for a shared apartment, we're like 5 and my own space is like your bed corner upstairs, yes it's that small and I pay $1,700 monthly, shared toilet, shared kitchen, shared everything, no privacy, this was not what I envisioned before coming here, I thought I would have something similar to what you're enjoying, I mean look at your views, look at your luxury door handle, your house fully furnished, your own kitchen, toilet, room, sitting room, and even dining, your estate has like a park/playground, your living in a skyscraper, in Canada you dare not, to having something almost similar to where you're staying will cost you and arm and a leg, I mean we're talking about 7-8k or way more per month and it won't even be furnished, I've started watching videos about China and it's completely different from what people made us think it is, things are expensive here in Canada, I need to move asap and I've just been looking at China, I need some form of guide please thanks 🙏
