If this house were in Beverly Hills, it would be $15M. It's quite a deal because of the location. One effect of the pandemic is that people are not tied to one location since work/school are done online so maybe more people will consider places like San Clemente.

@@taimoor821 for example I live in Los Angeles and before the pandemic I worked from home 3 or 4 days a week and the other 1 or 2 days I had to drive to Santa Monica. So I had to live within driving distance of Santa Monica. Since the pandemic started in March, everyone has been working from home 100% of the time while we waited for lockdown orders to be lifted. Now the company has seen productivity increase so much they have permanently closed the offices. Several of my coworkers are moving to cheaper areas as a result. For a lot of people in my industry (software), you can live in a much cheaper area and work remotely.

Stunning house with a lovely open backyard (imagine the parties you can do with that backyard 😉) for a price of just 5M. That is trully insane! The best thing about this house is the 9 bathrooms!!! What? I grew up in house with 6 bedrooms and only 3 bathrooms! I tell you bathroom sharing is real. Lol 😂 we were a family of 6 but there was always an uncle and aunt (parents siblings) crashing at our place. This house is Breathtaking! Great tour!

Hello Jacob 😊 I'm sorry that I'm so late, I got half way through and my daughter stopped by so I just finished watching. Wow 👏 what a wonderful tour 😍 I'm sure surprised by the price, I've seen mansions for twice as much and not nearly as well thought out or as much attention to detail!! I just love the coffered ceilings and that slab of marble for the fireplace was gorgeous!! The stone work is exceptional 👌 and the hidden TV 📺 is awesome but boy did I really like the movie 🎥 room, I could spend all day in there!! Glorious master bedroom and suite but the backyard was by far my favorite!! The enormous pool and that summer kitchen were to die for!! Thank you for another fantastic tour, keep up the hard work, you're going to have a great following 😀

Pick a design motif though. White stacked stone, which is dated and feels more like something inside of high end log cabin in the rockies or the midwest or the inside of country club/golf course from 2006. Wainscoting, which is more of a New England east coast traditional thing. And then the ultra modern feel with the hard geometeic lines and cavernous open concept spaces as you enter the house with the polished marble floor to ceiling fire place and the glass enclosed wine cellar. Pick a concept and stick with it throughout the whole house. Just feels kind of hodge podgey. The cheap white stucco look of the outside of the house feels very late 90s, early 2000s Florida-ish, so there's yet another design concept different from the others that are on the inside of the house. And, it's a huge house wedged in between a busy road in the front, literally right off of it, and a steep hill in the back, butted right up against it, which is undoubtedly not part of the property's square footage. So, where is the land? I think that's why it was only around $5mill because people probably knew they wanted to completely gut the inside and they didn't Iike having a huge property just wedged up between a busy road and a huge hill in the back. People who want a house that big also want it on several acres of land.
