@@EverythingAviation304 once silica porosity is saturated you have to heat it to desorp water molecules. The purpose is to trap residual humidity in sealed packaging for long durations. Once exposed to fresh humid air it quickly stop working. Best way to prevent rust on steel is to oil them from time to time. Most woodworking tools use high carbon steel instead of stainless.

It is worth watch estate sales and the like for some incredible deals. I had a customer ask me if i was interested in buying a large tool box full of tools. A neighbors husband passed away and she was selling all of that type if stuff. Lol, he said i immediately thought of your wall size box and knew you had alot of tools. After seeing it i really didn't need most of everything he had but one of the newer techs could definitely use most of everything. Someone told her to ask 5k for everything which wasn't a bad deal. It was a older Mac top and bottom with side cabinet. The tools were a combination of everything, Mac, Matco, Craftsman USA, Snap On, SK, Proto, etc. The three of us went over and Tom only had 3k and she said no. We were talking and her neighbor came over and said she will take 4k for everything. He still only had the 3k so i offered to loan or get 1k worth out of the set. We shook on it, left 100.00 deposit and headed to the Credit union. Overnight he went from a 40"(?) Craftsman box and tools to most everything he would need. Included with all the tools and box was a big green Craftsman floor jack, stands, ramps, etc. Truck load of odd and ends.

@automedic9781
@automedic9781 9 ай бұрын
They’re all I have. They work so well I never saw a reason to buy anything else minus a few specialty ones like my 1/2 to 3/8s transmission one or my 24 inch long 1/4 locking extension. But I’ve been using the wobble plus since I started almost 9 years ago now and other than having to replace the occasional lost one, I’ve had absolutely no issues with them.
@ToolBoxTour
@ToolBoxTour 9 ай бұрын
Curious, what’s the benefit of having them separate?
@Codyyster
@Codyyster 9 ай бұрын
I’ve noticed some older guys don’t like wobble plus because they seem to(for them) go from wobble to straight extension too easy and it’s frustrating when you want the angle to stay wobbled, if that makes sense. I found that if you line up the ball detent with your socket hole. The wobble plus work great, but if you don’t line it up they can switch unintentionally which is where the frustrations comes in
@redrider132001

@@ToolBoxTour its annoying having them go from wobble to straight with even just a little pressure, especially with longer ones in tight areas. Annoying enough for me that I went to normal wobbles. They kind of do both jobs ok but neither great but some guys seem to like them.

Reamers… Say you have a 9/16 hole that you need to make 5/8. If you were to run a 5/8 drill bit through it, it would be super grabby and probably try to break your wrists. A 5/8 reamer will do the job very smoothly without any grabbing. And the those little flat pry bars are referred to as “hive tools”. Keep up the good work 👌🏼

****so I'm not a mechanic but I found a Snap-On wrench on the side of the road when I was driving truck. I never I thought anything of it I seriously would just use stuff from Walmart and at most maybe gearwrench. I can tell you that I have used that 13 mm snap-on wrench that is something like $45 on this small engine that I'm taking apart right now. I'm Green with this whole process of quality tools and but I'll say that the process of the process of using this wrench to take off a fuel bolts has been a very pleasing experience. They were rusted no issues. The other bolts needed WD-40 to get them off

I paid 3k for a MINT Epic 68, 1500 for a still wrapped KRL 722 in extreme green, 14k for a mint condition EUV in space grey. I have KRSC40 carts, mint in fact one was still wrapped, I paid 900 and 1000. My old school Snap On tool wagon is MINT, I paid 5k. My boxes are loaded with every Snap On tool you can imagine, and Matco. So this is an awesome box and setup, but when you get this stuff for 25% of truck price, it is very satisfying. Just on view, no hate, and I agree that is an awesome bank of Epic boxes.
