@@Haroon5 What on earth are you talking about? I live in the North East, but 50 miles away from Newcastle. Newcastle is where the Geordie accent is prevelant - not the entire North East. Go & get educated. Oh & re the weather, it's cold in summer? Where've you sourced this information from? The North East/Eastern coast of the UK is incredibly pleasant during summer - when London's hot, we're only ever a couple of degrees lower. Job prospects too, several towns in the North East have achieved the title 'boom towns', areas of the UK, which - regardless of the pandemic have seen substantial investment in the housing/building industry & availability of jobs. Sick to death of people down South thinking they live in paradise. London, especially, is a dump - statistically it's a more dangerous city than L.A & Manilla in the Phillipines. What's good about that? 1.8 knife crimes daily in the capital - compared to 0.8 per MONTH in the North East.

I spent 10 years of my childhood in Wynyard before moving to Harrogate, it was a lovely place to live, the private security was great and everyone knew everyone, real community spirit. The old side (Village) is much nicer than the new build development called Wynyard Park, the village side has some stunning homes anything up to £2.5m-£3.5m

Friend just moved out of Manorside, houses squashed together, you could see in each others bedrooms, the plots are spaced so badly, just no privacy, they're huge houses on tiny tiny plots. There is a reason they're not selling well, the price per square foot cost is still considerably hire on The Wynd, Woods, Wellington and the attached roads

@@eralec totally depends on your work / family situation, I live in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, which is very expensive sadly, our home down south was nicer than what we can afford up here for the same price, but there is many more affordable areas across North Yorkshire with the most stunning countryside surrounding it and picturesque market towns with truly friendly people, majority of towns are close to major train stations with surprisingly quick trains into London's main stations etc, most places will be a lot more ''bang for your buck'' out of London, areas outside Manchester are great too like Cheshire (which will feel affordable compared to London), I have a friend who has just moved from Camden and got a big 5 bed home with an acre of land 15 minutes from York City Centre for £625,000, she moved during lockdown to escape the city and I have a friend who's an agent up here in Harrogate and he said he is inundated with buyers looking to move out of London and up to North Yorkshire countryside! If you need to stay closer to London then you could go out to places like Dorset, Hampshire etc, all much more affordable than London! Best of luck with the house hunt, we spent years in London and moving back to North Yorkshire made our life 10 x happier!

As an American I LOVE British homes. Even a large new build like this feels warm, cozy, and functional. Most new American homes are TOO open where it’s not as cozy and less privacy.

wages in London mean there is no shortage of people who can afford substantial mortgages. Meanwhile, in the NE there aren't many jobs paying the kind of salaries one would need to service a mortgage big enough for this even at the relatively low asking price.

Lovely house. I'm from this area. You get a lot more for your money in the north east . If your from the south do not be put off living in the north east i.e Durham, Nth Yorkshire, Cleveland or Teeside. This house is in an exclusive part of The nth east called Wynyard. People who have money will want to live here . Footballers and such like live here. There is also a golf course in this exclusive little town. The location is very good. Wynyard is in South Durham. It's only 10mins drive from Stockton on tees and Middlesbrough . Hartlepool , Sunderland and Durham city also very close by, no more than 15-20 mins drive away and Newcastle a little further. Also only 10 miles in land , Wynyard is also close to the local beaches and coastline. A19 motorway 2 minutes drive away. North Yorkshire and Durham countryside very close by. Wynyard is a very good location. But there are some excellent properties in other towns within 20 miles of Wynyard that will be cheaper. You are paying for the location with Wynyard and the prestige that goes with the postcode. Hope this helps.

This is a very nice house. My 2 big German Shepherds would also love the big yard. I know you guys refer to the yard as a garden, but over here in the U.S. we refer to it as a yard. You Brits seem to be big on wall to wall carpeting, but over here in the U.S. hardwood flooring is the thing. I prefer wall to wall carpeting especially for my dogs. It is softer on their bones and joints. Although, hardwood would be easier to keep clean with 2 big German Shepherds. Nice house guys.👍👍

Very similar in price to my home in the US. This home is actually reasonably priced and it's nice. Definitely seems more Americanized than some of the other homes I've seen on this channel. Actually put walk-in closets in some of the bedrooms! Obviously, the location is a massive factor.

The house is wonderful, but there are a couple of things about British house-builds which don't fit the price. I'm English but live in Germany. Over here, and unless you buy a pre-fabricated house, all the interior walls and ceilings are made of concrete, either pre-fabricated concrete blocks or poured on site. In the UK, all the interior walls are drywall (plasterboard) unless they are supporting walls, and all ceilings are wood construction. My sister's home was wonderful to look at, at least on the surface of things, but if someone was walking around upstairs, you could hear downstairs. Is that an issue? Well, it depends what you expect and what you can live with. Solid houses just feel different, and when it comes to hanging stuff on the walls, concrete will support anything whereas drywall needs special hanging materials and definately isn't as strong. Love your tours. Have subsrcibed and rand the bell 👍

Indeed, lived in London for many years now in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and a close friend is an agent here, he says they're absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of Londoners moving north in the past year, they can't keep up with the demand in areas like North Yorkshire and Northumberland!

No we don't want people moving up here, leave us alone, especially my beloved Northumberland, they have destroyed all our industry's with decisions made in the south don't destroy our decent house prices as well.

@@alisonsmith4801 the people who made them decisions years ago aren't about now, I think it's a great thing that the North / South divide is beginning to end! I noticed the PM and Chancellor spend a lot of time up in the North lately too! Great news for business and people.

As a Aussie this is the first time I have seen big Australian style homes in the UK. We call them Mc Mansions.
