@@henrietta9206 Sure it helps to have money to actually develop the designer's vision, or you are very ignorant to how much actually things cost. But I agree on some level, and that's why most people are better designers in their homes on their own budget than "professional" designers.

One thing this channel could do way better is take inspiration from Never Too Small, and how they show the before and after layouts. Most of these videos feel like disjointed shots all thrown together. It makes it difficult to imagine how all these amazing rooms come together.

This is SUCH a gorgeous home. It's a shame that there were so many highly zoomed-in shots and shots that only showcased the upper two-thirds of the walls and ceiling. Part of the inspiration of home tours is being able to take in total spaces and flooring choices, and being able to see how those choices flow together throughout the space. You all at The Local Project do such beautiful work and showcase such exceptional constructions that it's an immersive experience when areas are shot for the viewer to be able to view them in their entirety.

@@jen2796-n7s but the comment is not asking for the homeowners to show their bedrooms or private spaces. If they agree to show the garden or kitchen, why show only a zoom-in of walls and ceilings? Why couldn't they show at least one good shot of the entire room including walls and flooring? I don't see how showing the floor would be more invasive than showing walls if they agree to be on the channel in the first place. I loved this architectural project but was a bit put off by the choices in camera angles and filming

It is amazing how the inside of the house is not at all what you might expect from the outside--a real hidden gem. It has a stunning aesthetic. I don't know how they ever leave home, it is so beautiful. ❤

The color palette is gorgeous. I really love how this one makes use of a smaller space, and beautifully elevates it. Having a long, spacious table to work at is _so_ inspiring to me. Also, the "if not, I follow them on Instagram" bit 😂

These breeze blocks are THE BUSINESS!! I can't with this channel!! Nearly EVERY home featured is amazing!! It's inspiration after inspiration for me to watch what's happening in the world of architecture when I leave my world of boring tract homes here in the states!! The whole adaptive reuse of this project is just Chef's Kiss!! So glad I stumbled on this channel!!

i am impressed by the visionary homeowners' possession of an intuitive understanding of what they desired and by the talented souls who brought this space to life. their collective efforts have transformed it into something more than just walls and floors. personally, i have a soft spot for the way they've positioned the library. it's nestled so close to the heart of this space, as if it knows the desires and dreams of the people it was meant for. and the inspiration drawn from Luis Barragan's pop of yellow color is a vivid stroke of brilliance that infuses life into this lounge space.

Amazing home! Just one bit of feedback on the audio: I found it very difficult to understand especially the architect with the lower voice during the first half because the background track was quite loud. I generally found it a bit loud but especially when mixed with lower voices, it was hard to make out what they’re saying.

Ive often wondered how they closed off the hollow blocks separating the outdoors and indoors. Is it open? Is there a glass division? Also, is the wall dividing the bedroom and bathroom open in the ceiling?

The hollow blocks are reinforced with steel coming up from the floor substrate during construction, and then cement is poured into the block cores to create a solid (and impenetrable) concrete wall structure with an outside surface and an inside surface in one. Or that’s what happens in the northern regions of Australia for cyclone building code. It’s not as common to see in Melbourne, but should be considered more in my opinion. Rendered, it can create a similar appearance to preformed concrete, but cheaper. Or use the block shape for detail as shown here.

All the shots are nice and well executed. However, as a non-native english speaker I'm struggling to hear what they are saying as the music are WAY too loud! Please tone it down (especially at the first 2-3 minutes) at least 20% from the actual human voice who are speaking and explaining that we wanted to hear next time?

Nice place but not the best laid out video. If the kitchen is the heart, you didn't really show much of it at all. Not the working part of it. Just knives on the wall. I didn't care for the lounge. Reminded me of an airport for some reason,,, Until you showed an aerial view of the house, I had no clue how the rooms may be actually laid out. The video felt disjointed. Nice and light inside. Wonderful green space with the garden.
