So much respect to the homeowners. Living in Australia and building a home with basically no closed doors, open to all the creepy crawlies ... They have balls

Practical,yet beautiful! Instead of making the design conform to your will, wisely you conformed your design to the will of the landscape the home resides in.👍

Love the use of the timber. Beautiful. Must be wonderful to live in a place where insulation doesn't matter.

Being in the concrete industry, I agree. Thems some sexy walls! And Ctops/stairs/floors lol. Concrete is sexy af! Such beautiful, subtle integration of materials in this space. Mixing wood, glass and metal on one door for example, in a sleek design, was underrated and bold and strong at the same time. This home and site sings such a natural and elegant story, without all the trappings of manufactured materials. Well done!

Very thoughtfully designed and produced. All homes should have this much consideration put into them. Makes them sacred.

Spends $5M+ on high end materials and rammed earth walls, meanwhile having to use a pole & hook to close the living room doors...🤣 "Architecture"

I live in a model template house in Japan. It has so many features that I see missing on architecture houses. Which IMHO make quite a difference for livability. That is not to say I don’t dream of some day having an architect designed home ;-)

Dark & uninviting-- far too much circulation @ A$1000/sq ft. I find this to be very lazy architecture. Of course this may be down to the client's demands, but this could have been a third the size & just as functional (and probably more attractive)!

Tree stump is disgraceful.
@tonysopranosduck4168 ай бұрын
How’s that? I saw it as an homage, obelisk like sculpture and incredibly respectful to the tree’s life actually. How is it any different than tree stump / driftwood sculpture?

Felt like they spent more time about where the house is instead of its design itself.

Beautiful and carefully considered design. Lovely home. I love that you were able to include the fallen hardwood trees in the components of the house. I also appreciate that you have someone walking throughout the house as you explain it. It gives us, the viewer, a great sense of space and proportion. Bravo!

It’s very nice on the inside but the exterior really does not fit the surroundings at all. Not exactly the greatest design featured on this channel.
