What i liked about this home from the begining is that he had a fire place in the living room, then when the video starts he has an outside bath or hot tub. Tells me, its not just functional but built for a nice settings and enjoyment. That counts.

Loved this. I have been a guest at several Japanese homes on Honshu island. This house has Japanese aesthetics throughout. There is also a great pleasure to see your natural humility in these videos. You always wear clothing that hides your bulging triceps. What a gentleman.

Living in a Tiny Home is like having the same meal over and over again. There's only so many things you can change with such a small space.
@Matt-lo9mj
@Matt-lo9mj Жыл бұрын
I get what you are saying. And I agree with you. I think when you go small it’s very important for the space to be designed around the individual. And things from light and movement need to be dynamic. Like in a large space kitchens and rooms can be general and mass produced. But in a tiny house it really has to be designed so specifically. Like one might enjoy cooking so more focus needs to be on the kitchen but maybe you barely cook then the bare minimum is needed for the kitchen and it would just need to be essentials. One person might find a place to lounge incredibly important where as others might find it an easy sacrifice. For example I find a desk to be something I wouldn’t be willing to sacrifice. As well as meaningful headroom in a bedroom. It’s about sacrifice and a more minimalistic design that’s very individualistic. This is why most tiny homes are actually pretty bad. But this is a good example of one.

Actually it's probably not that different from Scotland. It's at the bottom of Australia and bottom of Tasmania, so can get quite cold (it snows in Tas) and rainy. It has a similar position to New Zealand.

It's very beautiful to look at-such a large open space. Understandably it is custom designed for a client but if somehow this were available to rent, it would not be for me. The setting, the home itself is breathtaking but my gosh-there is nothing soft to sit on, to relax, nap, watch a movie, or read a book. I was picturing a cozy chair and ottoman, a loveseat, a rug. I would love to hear her play the violin though with all that hard space-it would fill with the sound like an auditorium.
@Patchy
@Patchy Жыл бұрын
Yeah the lack of couch seems to be a dividing aspect for some people. I guess if you were renting long term, the couch, tv, anything else you want to add could be easily added. + 🤝 on your violin point!

Have you ever thought about doing voice over work? I think you’d be perfect for apps like Calm etc as you have such chill & soothing voice. Or even start another channel to help people wind down before sleep. As a viewer came here for the house renovation, stayed for the cat & the calm voice. (Prior to sleep, I usually watch funny cat videos with the sound off or put a couple of hours of sounds on such as purring or rain when I need to wind down plus focus on something external to myself. I’m someone that has a lot trouble sleeping! Partly due to physical pain, partly because of a highly active mind.)
