Alcatraz. Wow. Hi Scotty. Went with you under your wing as I knew I couldn’t do all that walking up to the prison. Awesome video. Been looking forward to this video and I am sure Sean is going to be excited too. One of the places he would love to visit and examine every nook and cranny. It is really strange that they did not give Al Capone’s cell much importance. Your interview with the former resident Joelene was really nice. It added to the reality of the place. Seen the movie a long time ago but to see the cells and everything else with you was so cool. Of course Fashion Crime and your singing was hilarious. Nice game for us to play when we are on some trip. Like the game the kids play called Spotto. Car spotting fun while we are travelling in our car on a long boring journey. Till the next one. Lots of love to you from the gang Downunder. Waiting for a video of Shady the cutie. Take care. ❤️✌🏼💕

Beyond that "Authorized Personnel Only" sign (cuz my Sister chose to go beyond that sign and our family is a bunch of rebels lol) is a Medical Exam room. She said it was creepy and it looked like a morgue with a metal table and weird torture looking instruments in the room, but you showed where the Morgue was so guess it was used for just Med exams. MY other Sister n I chose to run to the shower when she chose to hop the sign cuz we didn"t want to be in trouble/caught for what she did lol Anyhow, we were the only 2 in the shower area and heard a sort of mean stomping of boots walking towards us but no one was there, needless to say we both ran outta there in a hurry to find my other sister (the one who went past the sign). I greatly enjoy your vids they are VERY entertaining and informative. You have an awesome presence/personality

And the Richard Grieco comment made me laugh out loud! Thanks for cheering me up with your video on what was a crappy day sweetie! 💜
@SCOTTONTAPE5 жыл бұрын
Do you want to know the strangest thing Becca? I literally , seriously, put that Richard Grieco on screen title for YOU. I swear. Just as I finished editing I skimmed through it to make sure it was done and I saw that shot of the mannequin prison guard and I thought hmm that needs something else in that shot to describe it. And THEN I thought fuck that , it’s a prison guard anyone would know that lol. THEN I thought who does it look like and all I could think of was like Harrison Ford or someone but that’s not amusing. Then Richard Grieco popped into my head and I thought no one will even know who that is. THEN I though well Becca of course will. So I put it in. That’s how my creative process works lol. Try to make only one person laugh 😂 . Glad you liked it and I hope your day gets better sweetheart!

In my area here in west Michigan Al Capone had a house on a lake my family lived on, rumor has it from locals there are underground tunnels for him to escape in numerous directions. Locals told us stories of his men, black cars and guarding it with machine guns 🫢 I was always fascinated by that house called the crows nest…another home was in Battle Creek now an old golf course. The owner told us stories…eeerie lands

This was great Scott. It's so weird because I was thinking about Alcatraz just the other day, and then today this video came up as a suggestion. I feel like these computers can read my mind sometimes. Can you even imagine having to live like this? I'd rather be dead. Talking to that very sweet and informative lady was so cool. How nice of her to give you all of that wonderful information. I never thought to realize that the guards' families would also be living there. For me as a teenager, I don't think that would really be a very fun life. Doesn't seem like there would be much to do other than watching those movies and fishing lol. I really want to go here one day., even If for nothing else but to make me feel even more grateful for everything I have, especially my freedom. I just loved this video Scott!

I love this. I've been there twice, its cool. I especially liked seeing Al Capones cell. After seeing Clint Eastwood in the movie, I loved seeing those cells of the guys who escaped. You're right about a lot of walk there. It was also cold and wind blowing and I was freezing. Thanks, Scott. Great video as usual. That grade walking up is just enough to tire one out bad! Yes, the worst of the worst. By the way, Scott, have you done a trip to Carmel California. ???

Interesting video Scott! There was some talk about 10 years back of turning this site into a hotel, but then you heard nothing... FYI- Alvin"Creepy"Karpas was a member of Ma Barkers bank heist gang (Boney M made a song) He held the distinction of being arrested by J.Edgar Hoover himself It has also been said that he was the one who taught Charles Manson how to play the guitar during their time together in San Quentin. He was deported to Canada after being paroled in 69, then moved on to Spain where he died in the 70s. Thanks for the entertainment as always. We love your work! : )

When I was in 5th grade, we went there. That was when they had rangers acting as tour guides and my group got shut up in the D block solitary, and it was dark!! My Dad, beloved jokester that he was, put his hands around my neck and I said "DAD!" and some people whispered "oh the poor girl is scared..." Hrmph. At least I think those were my Dad's hands.... I visited recently for my birthday with some friends, and wow, yes, there is a LOT of walking. I loved seeing it again as an adult. I don't know about you but I definitely felt something when I was in the D block where the riot took place. And Alcatraz Prison couldn't survive Alcatraz. The salt air is unforgiving.
