Inside Amish Community 2. Lancaster, Pennsylvania

About a year ago I managed to visit Amish Country in Ohio. This visit amazed me so much that I made a video about it, and shared it on my channel. This Amish story amazed you as well, and provoked thousands of questions and comments ... Well, it is time to dig deeper and tell the story of the Amish in details. Only this time we will see the wonderful and diverse region of Lancaster in Pennsylvania, which was the very first Amish settlement in America.
It really doesn't cease to amaze me how this is even possible in America! It seems like a completely different universe...

I live a few miles from Strasburg now and used to live inside the town of Strasburg. I’m glad you found it. The train ride is just down the tracks a few miles to a turn around. The whole ride takes about 45 minutes, so don’t worry about your car during the ride. The railroad hosts other events throughout the year, including a beer festival, rides with Santa, and Thomas the Tank Engine weekends. Those event rides can last a little longer. The Bulls Head in Lititz was voted best pub in America a couple times and is definitely worth a visit. They have some great rare beers there. Your buggy driver was half right. There’s almost no violent crime in the rural areas around Lancaster, but there is definitely crime inside the Amish community. Not much, but it does happen. There is an unfortunate amount of Amish men on the s3x offender list around here. Also, almost all of the Amish have cell phones they use all the time, and depending on which church they belong to, have modern plumbing and electricity inside their homes. Some use the solar panels and modern wind turbines. Thank you for making a video about our home. Your videography and drone work are great.

Beautiful and fun video! A little hint for you. The large, handmade blankets are quilts. Not kilts. You probably know that. The way it is being pronounced is sounding like the word for mens skirts in Scotland.

Greetings from southern Ontario Canada we have a amish population in Elora st Jacob's and Elmira surrounding areas and also the old older of the Mennonites thanks for the presentation

You did a wonderful job on this. I used to live around them more in Northern Indiana around Shipshewanna. Honeyville etc. I do believe that is the 3rd largest Amish settlement and also there is one that has more Swiss heritage south of Fort Wayne Indiana. It was great to hear your impressions. Think about it. Technology has its place, which should really only be used for good and of service in some way. You are providing others a chance to see what it is like to live more simply. I do not agree with their faith but I do see much good that they do. Hopefully, will inspire others to prioritize their life on what is really important.
