This house is just "wow"! Congratulations to the architect/owner and their young family. I especially liked the skylight, the big windows and the privacy integrated outside ( through the unassuming front door/gate) and inside the house (through the barn door upstairs). I am an aspiring architect by heart and the design I've seen in your house translates some of the ideas in my head that I would like to someday apply in our future house renovation.

I looove the entrance and courtyard idea. It feels so safe, and I love the exposed storage right after the entrance too. The laundry area gives off such a happy vibe too, lol, so the homeowners can feel happy doing chores as well. The only thing I didn't like was how the you can see the master bathtub/shower entrance right from the hallway. It's okay when the kids are small but I imagine it would get awkward when they're teens and going upstairs at the wrong time.

I came across your channel by chance some months ago. I loved this video. I never thought of myself to be into architectural designs but whenever I see a home, I start remodeling in my head. 😅😅 My house is a resell, a little under 2k sq space. It's a split floorplan with an open concept kitchen. I have a bonus room the lenth of my garage. It's just me, my dad, and my cats. And the house is too small. Well, the kitchen is too small. The issue I'm going to be facing is remodeling the kitchen. I'm going to do some remodeling to the other rooms. One at a time. However, it's the kitchen that's going to be the most challenging. OH, BOY!! 😅😅 But I loved everything in this video. They utilized every space and made it count. My favorites: the corner office and living room opening up to the courtyard garden. Now on the to previous videos to get more ideas! 😄

Wow well designed... Or is it?? When we came back from the UK....we thought we could do something ripped out of an architectural digest Some thing i see that is not right: No covered carpark for cars. This will give your cars sunburn and rapidly age and devalue them . Sunroofs are nice in cooler climates but in Malaysia it will only cause heat generation and higher electricity to cool down the house. Furniture and fittings will also age faster as they are exposed to sunlight. Rain heat and moisture will cost more to maintain waterproofing of sunroofs I also see, no water drains. This is fine for the first few years, but the wall will be constantly damp and soon you have to repaint and repair leaks to the walls. Open concept toilets are a no no 😅😮in Malaysia as culturally and weather, high humidity won't permit this. 0:04 0:04

Thank you for the video! I like the garden drainage and those rain water buffers too! those are nice design and practical. Was wondering about few items though, as Malaysia is quite a hot country, won't the skylight heat up the inner space in the day ? Else also I do understand the privacy and protection while still having great design of having the high walls, but a layer protection for the vehicles through main entrance gates are lost though. Anyways , love subtle hints of shapes around the building and totally agree on the simple touch of equally spaced windows , it is so much nicer!

Would love to video a addressing these issue in house design - cockroaches (piping to prevent or....) - lizards (type of window profile to prevent or...) - natural air circulation(reduce heat trapped in house, when aircon is offed within minutes the whole room gets very hot even with fan on during the night) - moist affecting wall paint to crack
