My wife is from Romania and she makes affinada, samale, and homemade bread. The first time I went there I saw hay being cut and hauled by hand using horses to move it. I saw shepherds moving their sheep down country roads. I fell in love with my wife and Romania. We've traveled to about 50 countries but Romania is my favorite.

It's a simple life filled with simple pleasures. I love it.

From Singapore -- I've visited the country 3 times and I renewed my love for it every single time. Definitely my favorite country of all time, and the country out of many that I've visited that really made me feel welcome. I read the book "Along the Enchanted Way" by William Blacker and was inspired to visit Maramures on my 3rd visit. Breb was mentioned in the book, but I didn't manage to visit it. Nonetheless, visiting Sighet, Sapanta, and then walking across to Ukraine were definitely highlights of my two week trip. Here's wishing everyone is doing well, and I await the next time I can visit the country where I feel like home (Brasov city makes me feel at home the most haha).

The food, vegetables and fruits grown just a few steps away from their homes. Although I am from Croatia and I have never been to Romania, this video made me nostalgic about our dying traditions...for example, Croatia has a rich and diverse traditional architecture heritage...for example, stone houses in the coastal area, wooden homes in mountain regions, or those cute, hobit's like, mud houses in the vineyards of north Croatia (called "klet")... Recent soulless tourism expansion just wiped away the character of many authentic places...which is really a shame in the long run...I appreciate your appreciation of the authenticity and traditions of places you visit.

They are very diligent people, hard workers, their houses are always clean and ready any time for any guests. I am really impressed how you beautifully described this area of the Eastern Europe, thank you a lot for it. You just have to know that few people from France, or Belgium, or Holland or other Western Europe countries visited Maramureș once, and they were so impressed, that they sold their houses in their home countries, and moved forever to Maramureș. Some of them bought and restored old houses, and now they live there. There is no better description of Romania, than this one, I guess. All the best !

@romulusmilea27474 жыл бұрын
Oh, da, are balta pește.

Peste Europa vor veni vremuri foarte grele in viitorul apropiat. According to wikipedia, Romaina IS part of BALKAN countries. Citing: "Historians state the Balkans comprise Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia" ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balkans ) Greetings from Slovenia, where many loudly deny they live in a balkan country. :-))))
