Still today you do find this what you talk about here and that's in Mexico. Been there many times with many people and wow, only after like a day being with them you feel like they are your family. So friendly and giving. It's a different story in Scandinavia I visited. Ok, they are somewhat friendly and nice also but o no, never this same as what there people and the Mexicans are. Gosh, even at many hotels in Scandinavia, beside you rent a room you need to pay for your car parking extra also WHAT...................What;s up with that ! Ok, enough said.
@maddiecrochet3 жыл бұрын
@@tcb1017 Unfortunately that's how we Scandinavians are. Here it's pretty much the 'fend for yourself' kind of vibe. We're often very sceptical of strangers and like to keep people at a distance. Not sure if you have seen the memes about Scandinavians standing far apart waiting for the busses, but it's really true. Of course not all people are hostile or sceptical but the majority absolutely is. Has a lot to do with our culture. We're not really giving off any warmth, which can be found in the weather we experience during the colder times of year. I'd say Scandinavia is a great destination if you wanna see a lot of nature and different kinds of weather. The history is pretty great too, if one is a fan of a little history. However, it's not something I'd recommend if you're looking for cheery inviting people. What I'm trying to say is, from an early age we learn that the best thing is if we are as independent as possible so we don't have to ask for help. It's valued a lot, so for those having trouble with it will find it rather hard to live and given the support needed. That's why for example disabled people have it really really hard to get by, because they're seen as disposable and not worthy. So yeah, individualism is cheered for, while collectivism is seen as something that shouldn't be strived for. From having watched a lot of travel videos, I'd say the warmer the country, in terms of weather, the friendlier the people.

Everytime you visited little rural places like this one or those videos in Iran and Pakistan, I find these videos so enjoyable... They are so calming.. For a little I forget all the stresses of my life. ❤️ From Bangladesh 🇧🇩

It's easy to see why you decided to stay longer at the hostel - such warm, kind and generous people. And such good food to boot.

Eva this episode made me cry. It reminded my grandmother who passed away several years ago. We used to visit her for summers and she use to make fresh bread and tap it over just like Fethije did on the video.

Ohhh Eva, how I watch all your videos from NYC and admire your love for travel. You visited my beautiful Country, Kosovo and my city Peja. The people in Rugova are as authentic as it gets! Flija is an old traditional dish that I love and you helped make it! Fetija was so sweet…Bravo Eva Bravooo!!! 💕

I get so excited whenever you show people making traditional cheese recipes from all over the world. They are so similar but so different at the same time. It is fascinating to watch.

g'day eva, thank you for all of your vlogs, i could smell the wood stove and the things cooking on the stove, having grown up in a house with a wood stove, it always brings back memories of the wood stove in the kitchen, the sight, the smell, the warmth in winter, good childhood memories, thank you again.
