Thank you for showing the underside of this awesome kei truck! Every other video I have seen on KZbin of these cool little trucks haven't shown the engine and I have been really curious about it.

Excellent video but I wish there was more information on checking the oil level, water radiator level, etc. where is the oil filter and drain? How many quarts of oil ? Thank you for the video just the same!

Love the truck. It is a 545cc 2 cylinder version you have. I have a 1987 model here in the UK. But mine is a van..:-)

Just got a 1991 Subaru Sambar with a Dump Box. The Dump Box makes for easy access to the engine and other stuff. The Sambar has 4 wheel independent suspension and the engine is mounted behind the back axle. Rides nice when empty and low engine noise in the cab at highway speeds. Subaru Sambar is 660cc , but 4 cylinder. 5 speed +bull low. 4WD on demand(red button on top of gearshift)

I have a question about the rear axle . Most Actys I’ve seen have a weird CV axle in the rear but yours is solid. Is it from another truck perhaps?

Did you use spacers for your wheels?

Hello I'm just wondering, what the exhaust silencer you used on this Acty is. Like what size is it and how do you find it affects the performance of the little truck. I have my own that I use everyday. But my silencer has rotten and needs replacing and I can't find parts anywhere. Love how you've been creative and used a different approach. Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou Jack

If there is room, fit a Walker Pro-Fit. 6" diameter and 14" long. Total length with pipe stubs is 20". It cost me $55 Canadian.

Thank you for the 2 videos on the Honda Acty!! I have been contemplating on getting one sometime this year and this video really answered a majority of my questions! I am still curious however, what kind of coolant does the little truck take? As well as motor oil? Lastly are the repairs easy to do on it?
@TheCohesiveGarage7 жыл бұрын
Glad it was of use!! Repairs are easy enough compared to other vehicles of the era. Fluids are also standard 90s Honda.

What does one usually cost? The one I found is a 1990 Honda Acty Attack, it has 28k original miles. It is the 656cc 4 speed with ultra low forward and reverse. They are asking about $7250. Didn't know if that was fair? Or could I offer lower?

Thanks for the video, that motor and gearbox just seems to be the same as the 2wd but turned 90 degrees. i had the 2wd wan which we took on interstate trips of 2000 kilometers. that van was so much fun. ps: you'll find that these motors are basically the same as the right hand cylinders of a Honda Goldwing , I had both and used a spare right hand head gasket from the bike when I rebuilt the acty.also early BMW motorbike alternator brushes will fit in the actys alternator, even though it say that they are not replaceable. pps the carbies don't need rebuilding, they're japanese.

Hi - great video, what type of shocks did you get. I have an 89 Acty and need to replace the front shocks, Thanks!

Carsten Stinn customer pick those up online. I don't recall the brand but I think the outfit was up in Canada.

Dump trucks are much easier to work on. If you need to work on the ringtone you just put the bed into dump mode and lift it up. then there is an engine protection plate held on by 6 or 8 bolts. Take it off and you have pretty much unfettered access to the top of the engine. I tried working on the carb of a freinds Suzuki Carry from teh top through the access hatch. By the time I got his carb adjusted i was convinced that the Japanese are some kind of space aliens with an extra wrist. Because, without an extra wrist there is no way to get to things. But cool little truck. have fun with it.

Thanks for the great overview of the underside of the truck! I recently purchased the '91 Van and it looks a bit different than what you have shown... Is there a difference between the van and truck? Are you guys in WA?

Hey got a question mine stop running on me on the way driving home with it any idea what it could be turns over but does not crank I’m thinking timing but never took everything apart yet
@TheCohesiveGarage2 жыл бұрын
So it turns over but does not start? Check for spark. Start with the ignition like the coil or ignitor. I have a vid on a crv no start the has the details and what to check.
