You all realize that shoes are the most essential tools of his trade, right? And why pay for a large place when you live most of your life outside in the mountains of the world? I think you've got your priorities straight, Tony.

What do you need a big appartment for, if you spend 80 % of your time outside? If you ran for 20 years and could have your shoes for free, I think that over the years you would collect about the same amount.

for the people remarking about this being too many shoes... first, it is his job. pack everything in your office into your bedroom and see how that goes. but a general rule of thumb, even though la sportiva's last a LONG time, is to put no more than 300 miles on a pair of shoes, before they become bad for your body to wear. there are ultra runners who run 300 miles per WEEK... so actually, he has less shoes than i thought he would have

I’m not sure ultra runners make much money to be honest. They are the surfers of the mountains dude! I don’t think he’s about the $$$ and more about the great outdoors.

Anyone remember this. In the Saucony commercial in 2011 last night? That heel striking was painful to watch
@HermesWings3335 жыл бұрын
Heel striking isnt really that bad depends on the pace you're going. Gradually most runners whether realizing it or not tend to move up on their midfoot the most ideal place to land according to most studies is actually outside the heel and up through the edge and pushing off from your second toe. Anything else really leads to damage.

As he makes money with the sponsors, if you purchase a shoe of his brand you also helps him to get one more shoe...ok, he already has too much.
