Always an inspiration watching him. Love that his persona can expand beyond more than just running.

I really like what he said "Self Sufficient" it feels to me that he just lives very simple, no headaches from cities, no bad days on job and less opponents. I think I must live this way too, alone and self-reliant. Good Video.

You're from Niobrara??? I'm from Stuart, and now I recognize you! And now I don't feel bad that you CREAMED me in cross country and track! haha, jk, it was obvious you trained hard back then too. I'm glad to see it's paid off! I love your message. Moving in the mountains is my favorite thing to do as well. I hope to cross paths someday.

Its been interesting following the evolution of Tony over the years- Although I appreciate him as an athlete and unique individual, I wouldn't be happy with his lifestyle- I guess I've always thought, would I be happy if everyday was vacation? Curious to hear others opinions on this-

@personaltrainer37 жыл бұрын
Ryan b Those are the flat irons in Boulder where he lives and trains. You can follow everything he does on Strava. He Gives purpose almost everyday towards training and can inspire anyone in any goal. Run.Smile.Breathe

1. You're using all four limbs 2. There's a consequence I hurt myself yesterday running in the hills above my town. 5am, just before dawn, wearing a headlamp BUT switched off because "5am - just before dawn". How many times have I just stumbled through days vaguely aware of consequences but never being fully involved because modern life means you can wing most shit & get away with it? The thing with "hokey middle life crisis naval gazing" is that it's invariably true we just don't want to hear it. It's never too late to wake up & stop sleepwalking through life.

Cool video, but I have a hard time listening to life philosophy from a single guy with no "job" and few responsibilities. Good for him that he chose this life for himself. He's a great runner and hard worker, but he is far removed from the realities of everyday life for 99% of the population. Nothing wrong with that. But it is what it is.

You're totally right, however the lifestyle choice he made is not any less difficult than that of an average Joe's. I bet he's alone most of the time.
@JK-vc7ie7 жыл бұрын
"Difficult" could be defined many ways. Obviously, his life involves extreme physical exertion; however, he lives a life of recreation, essentially. He likes to "get in the mountains everyday". Well, so do a lot of people but they have to go to work to put food on the table.
