I think the plan regarding increasing seating capacity hinges on firstly getting approval from the local authority so that local transport links aren't overwhelmed, and if that is achievable through significant further investment, the easiest way to get more bums on seats would be by making the seats slightly smaller so capacity could be increased by an extra 10 to 15 percent. It would make for a tighter fit but wouldn't mean major engineering at the ground.

A bit pie in the sky all this if the truth be told as between Liverpool & Spurs there is only a 1000-1500 difference in capacity which isn't exactly huge & both grounds are finished & yes the corporate facilities will be more inviting nowadays but the Emirates is almost 20 years old!! Any seat expansion should fill in the corners level with the other upper seating which would increase capacity by 8000-10,000 which is plenty!!

The corners of the upper tier let light into the stadium on a sunny day tho which makes the whole experience better. Other stadiums with a completed upper tier like Wembley and Old Trafford feel a bit more intimidating and not as homely. It would be better imo to lower the pitch and fill in the extra space at the front of the lower tiers, that way the fans would be closer to the pitch aswell, something people always complain about.

Approval from the local authority will be very difficult and for sure the council will decline. Best way to expand will be to add more seats behind the goal and lower the football pitch

Islington Borough Council would never allow a club stadium to have the capacity of 75,000. And leaving north London isn't an option.

Yeah what’s the point when they opened it they sold it to the fans as Ashburton Grove not “the Emirates” with Arabic symbols all over the stadium so as to prevent revolt, instead Wenger’s ailing kopped their anger instead. If they’re willing to go to such lengths they may as well just leave the area completely and build a new 100,000 stadium called “Qatar” or whatever!

Owners of English top flight clubs have to be the worst investors on the planet. Not ONE club turns a profit. Not one. Year in and out. Yet they spend all this money on stadium expansions, to add more club suites and price out the regular folks. For what?, nothing. A year end loss of revenues.
