I've worked on this ship. Always feel like a part of me is also getting scrapped. I(and everone who knows how it is to be a cruise line crew member) had my bad and a good moments and was always happy to work for Carnival.

The ship's interior looks very well and healthy even after her years in service.

Don't worry the industrious Turks will be in there with sledge hammers and crowbars to smash all that up and strip it all out ready for cutting.

@@PreservationEnthusiast They will save certain parts (chairs, tables, beds, fixtures, wood etc). Once all of the resellable items are off the boat the boat is cut up for scrap.

@@jamesbraun9842 They save more in Alang than they do in in Aliaga. But yes removable stuff and some interior fitting is resold. A lot goes to auction.

@@jamesbraun9842 Also, they can't cut the boat without removing all the wood (fire risk). So a lot of the first fixing and other unsalvageble fittings will be smashed and pulled off with crow bars destructively to prepare the bare steel for gas cutting.
