Yep! But I imagine instead of just one panel almost all the enunciators were on... The control room probably looked ike a christmas tree. Scary. I remember hearing a slight different warning sound from the other control room but I assume the consoles/sounds/everything got upgraded years after the accident.

I wouldn't have wanted to be an operator that night. I am sure the parts differed a bit depending upon the generation of RBMK reactor.

@@xavier2435 The control rooms of unit 1 and 2 (as in this video) are slightly different from those in unit 3 and 4 (unit 1 and 2 are 1st gen RBMK, unit 3 and 4 are 2nd gen RBMK). For example the 2nd gen control room has oblique arrangement of the whole upper half of the control wall. Probably the warning sounds are different too.

block 3 ist seit dezember 2000 abgeschaltet, als letzter. seit 2008 is aus den reaktoren alles raus. die gefahr auf dem gelände geht von belasteten staubpartikeln und hotspots aus.

This is not Control Room n^4.This is n^3. In n^4 all the switches were rmoved after the accident.

Ohh, actually just because they removed anything from CR4 in order to investigate and decontaminate. All the control panels were full of radioactive dust.

Ah. Yeah, in the destroyed area under the sarcophagus, they have a sprinkler system set up to keep the ground wet so things don't dry out and there isn't radioactive dust floating everywhere.

@@_DonnyFirdani negative. They started to built the reactor back. Today, no fuel is remaining within the core. Beside of some basic operations like ventilation etc the control room is no longer in operation, otherwise it would look different. (Even in 2015 when I took this footage)

Well, the control rooms of 3+4 are a bit different, and 3+4 both had the same control room.
