That was fun. I was in the anechoic chamber at Compaq (HP) in Houston many years ago. I loved the experience, and would love to have one at home. It would be a great place to meditate.

Actually, because marching band is outside, your sound doesn't travel the same way and the echo you get back doesn't sound the same. You have to play about 2-3 times louder on a football field than in a concert hall (source: years of experience) for it to travel the same distance. When you remove that variable entirely, you hear something much different. Part of it is practice, yeah, but part of it is also the natural physics of sound 🤔
