I have worked for 25+ years at a global media company that is world famous for it's documentary's. Lemme tell you,....your work on this mini-doc was excellent. Your script was perfectly crafted, your voice over work was excellent, your graphics and diagrams were clear and spot-on and I loved your drone shots! (I'm a part 107 guy too!) Your story flow here is efficient and right to the point. You pack in a TON of information in just 8 minutes but it doesn't even feel rushed at all. Congrats on this surprise video!! Found this vid by chance and I must say it cleared up a lot of questions I had after the Disney’s relocation announcement. Being local I must say there is still a lot of reasonably priced homes for those relocating. The zip code for Lake Nona is 32827, but 32832 is adjacent to it, has the same schools and businesses etc and you get more bang for your buck since is not under the Tavistock brand name. Maybe for Californians the traffic here will not be an issue but I feel the difference a bit, still would not change the area for any other.

This is absolutely huge, imagine all the possibilities. It really makes Celebration seem like the first leg in building Walt's 1965 EPCOT for a working an family living environment. At age 63, I'd be interested in one of the apartments, my health is great and having done logistics all my life I'd be interested in what Mickey has to offer. This is an exciting time to be a Disney fan.

Great video Brayden, I am kinda of looking forward to seeing what this new Disney 55+ community will look like. Anything Disney builds will look incredible for example Golden Oak Disney. I hope Disney builds a 55+ community that combines the best of Golden Oak Disney and/or Celebration with The Villages in Florida that would be incredible. I also hope Disney uses the construction company The Villages uses and builds single level floor plans like their Designer Homes and Premier Homes.

Hard to imagine all the talent and expertise being lost (forced out) over the duration of the move. I wonder how it will impact future park developments. Will we see a lesser quality of installations going into the parks through future years? Sure feels like Disney is tossing the voice of their workforce to the side. I guess they’ve never been known to treat cast members well so not really surprised.

Over the past decade Disney has been making more and more of their movies at the newer sound-stages near Atlanta as opposed to California. With the controversy over political turmoil surround work at those studios in Georgia, could Disney look to develop a new studio lot for film and TV production near this Lake Nona developement in the near future. If the creative team is moving, it would only make sense that the production teams may follow.

These are almost all parks-related employees, not film/TV studio people. There's an almost zero chance of any significant portion of studio personnel, particularly creative teams, moving to Orlando. While production happens on location, virtually all of the pre-production and post-production work still happens in LA.

@@megamoze agreed. It makes sense to relocate park related departments, and not video production. Besides, they previously had studios in FL, but developing a theme park around it made things too complicated, so they stopped producing shows and movies. A lot of production companies film in GA because the state offers them incentives to do so. Eventually that will dry up, and they’ll film elsewhere, in a state that will offer competitive incentives. Companies lease out local studios, and hire local nonunion production crew, which is why governments are willing to pay to have those companies do business there.

Fascinating video! Rather disappointing that they wouldn't build more walkable, mixed-used neighborhoods instead of more single family car-centric suburbs. They could have set a trend Florida really needs more of outside of its pricey downtowns, but that's probably more of a local zoning issue than a Disney thing. One would hope they would have used their financial power to push for better zoning laws in that case though. Oh well.
