For the first time ever, the true behind-the-scenes story of the England rugby team. Total access to the squad with almost two hours of never seen before footage: in the dressing room, at the hotel, on the training pitch, team meetings, injury treatment, revealing interviews, new match coverage and much more. Sweet Chariot is the film England fans thought they would never see. Includes victories over New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and the 6 Nations Grand Slam.
This is the full account - off and on the pitch - of how Clive Woodward’s team became number one in the world. Follow the players, coaches and management through one of the greatest ever periods in English rugby.

Mad how this documentary didn't put the players off too. Normally inside docs like this don't end well. Fantastic team and an inspiration. Watched this doc countless times.

I wonder if "Rugby Purists" give this England team the credit it deserves. To beat the three Southern Hemisphere teams on successive Saturdays, then following it up with a victory over France, the other European giant of the time, that leads to a Grand Slam. After this little combination of results, England defeats the All Blacks in New Zealand, somewhere along that game playing with only 13 men and then go on to beat Australia in Australia. Only then comes the World Cup, where the defending Champions Australia also hosts the tournament, an added advantage. They go 7 games undefeated in the 2003 world cup including defeating the defending Champions Australia at home in overtime via a dropkick from their Legendary flyhalf's right leg as oppose to his left. To add a bit more, they also reached number 1 on the IRB world rankings. I cannot think of another combination of rugby accolades accumulated by a rugby team over the same amount of time ,really is extraordinary .

Truly was an exceptional time for English rugby. I'm not sure we'll have the same combination of talented youth and experienced masters of the game for some time to come. We came close in 2019 but got beaten tactically by a well drilled RSA side. That 2019 side wasn't as talented as the 2003 winners in my opinion. Woodward deserves some credit too....think he was one of the first to focus on the marginal gains that almost every team in every sport work on nowadays-from team sky cycling, to Barcelona in football & the patriots in the NFL, they concentrate on achieving the extra 1% that other teams overlook.

I loved this English team , I remember all my friends killing me because I was cheering them on to win the World Cup especially being Irish but Jonny Wilkinson was my favorite Rugby player with BOD , and BOD played with some awful Irish teams , shows you how special he was in his 20s this documentary was amazing, gives a real insight into the leadership and massive player culture that Woodward developed, there mentality was at a different level, I’m pretty sure they would give most teams in Rugby history a tough match, they would struggle against this new generation of Irish players but they had leaders all over their team, real men!!
